I haven't heard from her in weeks, and I'm starting to get worried. Has anyone here had any contact lately?
<-- stress

He who dies with the biggest mech... obviously needed a bigger mech.

How about earlier? What do you think?

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

OMG, Cindyminion, that's so bizarre.
I just sent her a pm a few hours ago saying that I missed seeing her around... she's back from a class excursion to Europe that rescued her hide in terms of credit hours and standing for tuition purposes (and darn! a trip to Europe! how sad!!
)
And sounds quite ready to move home in a little bit.
All be well!!
But it was literally not much more than 15-20 mins ago that I got her pm.

Whoops! Sorry!
I didn't mean to worry anyone!
I've been trying to get caught up on posts and e-mail in between holidays and The Trip Which Must Not Be Named.
Here's the abbreviated story:
After finals here at UALR, I started doing calculations for my Spring schedule and discovered that I'd be credits short for graduation in May, even if I took the maximum load. Then, financial aid called to tell me that I didn't take enough credits in the fall and wouldn't qualify for fall financial aid (meaning, since I'm a visiting student, I would have to pay for the UALR classes out of pocket at the Loyola rate of $886 a credit hour instead of the UALR rate of $250 ). Then I remembered the EU trip in December. Financial aid would cover it all, I would get covered for the hours at UALR, and I'd get to graduate on time. Win win situation, right?
My stepfather freaks out, forbids me to go, threatens to not give me money next semester, and generally raises an uproar because he feels the trip is taking advantage of him even though it didn't cost him a penny.
So I went anyway and took a wonderful trip to tour the EU institutions in Brussels, Luxembourg, Strasbourg, and Paris (sorry to any Betarians in any of those places -especially Gabe - but I had almost NO time to contact anyone
) I returned about ten days later happy but exhausted.
My guinea pig Mephisto died while I was away, almost two years to the day of his brother Zowbagger
and my stepfather is STILL mad at me and says he won't give me any money next semester but at this point I just don't care any more.
So....that's it!
But I'm back and you won't have to be Lynxa-less anymore for a while! Not even if you want to be!

Glad things are going well for you and good luck pulling that stick out of your
stepfather's ass.

As long as you had a great time visiting. That's what counts.

The Doctor : … and then, just to finish off, I’m going to wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky !
Dalek : But you have no weapons ! No defenses ! No plan !
The Doctor : Yeah ! And doesn’t that scare you to death ?

Unfortunately, some of us live so close to certain people that it becomes unavoidable.kymaera wrote:That's polite terms for she knew better than to fall into his clutchesLynxa wrote: So I went anyway and took a wonderful trip to tour the EU institutions in Brussels, Luxembourg, Strasbourg, and Paris (sorry to any Betarians in any of those places -especially Gabe - but I had almost NO time to contact anyone)
