Welcome to the world Kaila Bethini Dieckmann

Image

This is my son Josh's little baby girl, and my very
first grandchild. :o Being born premature, she is
quite small at only 14 oz., but she is a fighter, I can
tell. She was born at 6:37 this morning, and
she is 11" long. Such a tiny lil thing, but she is absolutely
adorable. :) Doctors give her a good pronosis, as she
is breathing on her own. Littlest baby they say they have
had in awhile, but they think she will do just fine. :o

Yes...I saw your blog. Congrats Nida! The picture looks a little scary, but like you said Kaila is a fighter. I'm glad to hear the doctors give her a good pronosis. I will keep her in my prayers.

Thanks for the comments guys. The pic does look
a little scarey, but you can see from the pic, that
yellow tube is what they have in her nose helping
her breathe, and that's all - no ventilator or anything -
so that is a good thing!! :o And yes Kittens - she is
a beauty!! :)

Well GRANDMA, hope you know that now is your chance to get back at your kid by going over their head and doing grandma things :D

Just think, only 25 years or so to GREAT GRANDMA

CONGRATS, you are going to be a great grandma

Congrats to ALL!!

What a little sweetheart!! She must have just been ready to see what all the noise was about :) We'll all be keeping her in our thoughts and wishing for some nice high-cal weight-gain formula (or Mom) to put a little more meat on dem bones. (I've got several pounds she could borrow, as long as she doesn't give 'em back...)

I'd say give her a big hug, but... maybe not quite yet :)

Sure, Cloud! anything for you. She's just a teeny baby, and we wouldn't want to hurt her! So we'll wait until she's a little bigger before we give her hugs.

Precise enough for you? :P
