Has anyone had a problem with ordinary from Rubberslug?

Post by logorzat »

I bought a cel from Tanya Nelson (rubbeslug name Ordinary) and she refuses to answer my emails and let me know if the cel was shipped. I payed for it on August 14th and still have yet to receive it. I know she has been online because she has been updating her gallery. I filed a complaint with Paypal but the problem is I payed for part of the cel with personal checks. Any ideas on what I should do?

I sent you a PM, logorzat. "Slow" is an understatement when it comes to this seller.

You will probably get your cel, but, based on my experience, you are in for a loooong and frustrating wait. I hope it works out for you. :)

Thanks to Klet for showing me this thread. I'm in the same boat. On September 1st I saw her sales page and purchased this Piccolo on the very same day. Then on September 13th thinking my Piccolo cel would arrive at any moment bought this Vegita pan cel from her on ebay (which btw she is no longer a registerd user at due to many negative feedbacks... go figure). Since then she has gotten in contact with me one time on September 26th saying she would send out my Piccolo cel (with no mention of the Vegita) that very same day with some extras for the long wait etc etc etc. So yeah, I still don't have it and since she lives in Florida it really shouldn't take this long. I've recently emailed her at like 6 or 7 different email address, PMd her here, posted on the origianl RS thread, sent her feedback through her gallery and I'm still waiting on any world of the status.

I'm glad to hear that other have indeed gottenn their cels. At this point it's not about the money or even the long wait. I would just hate to not have these two cels I really wanted and have become attached to (by looking at the pics atleast). So I'll keep you all updated and I really hope I it goes well. She seems like a nice person and I've had all the patients in the word, but something has to give.

I have purchased 2 cels from this person and BOTH times she was rude and took forever with shipping. The first time she was so rude that I was worried I would get the cel at all, though she had two cels I really wanted so I guess I put up with it. :(

Ah yes, I had a discussion with a fellow Rubberslug member a good while back about this person and her gallery. I wanted to purchase a DBZ cel as well but after hearing that this member has been waiting for over a year for a cel she purchased from her I decided to change my mind. She contacted the seller many times and kept getting the run around.

She showed me the sellers old RS gallery which at that time had been completely wiped clean except for the photo album section and a that's what lead us to the sellers new gallery. She left some information in that section that had not been deleted with a few pictures so it was fairly easy to track her down to the new gallery after searching around a bit. The newer gallery had the 'sold' cel still in it and the gallery was being updated frequently. The buying member said she was going to immediately send feedback thru the newer gallery to ask about the cel. I never had a chance to chat with her again to find out what the results were. :(

Ive had some problems with her as well. They did however get fixed it just took along time.

My problem with things right now is I went through her in Jan/early Feb to buy a cel one of her friends was selling, It was a wishlist tux cel from the R movie right when he breaks out of the little shield thing that Fiore is holding him in. I paid for the cel and still havent gotten it. Ive left emails in her email and in the persons email that I bought it from, and I havent heard anything. :(

A little update.

Now it's up to 4 months. She emailed me early December asking for my address again so that she could send them out "tomorrow". But as you can see that isn't the case. *sigh*

Add my name to the list of people who have had a not so pleasant experience with this seller.

I purchased a cel from her years ago. I bought the item via Bay and had a difficult time getting in touch with her afterwards. I remember getting a story from her about someone breaking into her account, she no longer had access to email, paypal addy had been changed...yadda yadda. It was all very fishy, and honestly felt I had about a 50/50 chance of ever receiving the cel. It came, and in a relatively timely manner (less than 2 weeks), but after more than one polite yet firm email from myself.

Stick with it. KEEP EMAILING and don't wait weeks and weeks between messages. Sometimes I think a person gets this bad with shipping because we as buyers are letting them get away with it. Unless the seller has stated in their auction/post that when you agree to purchase the cel you're also willing to wait months for it's arrival, it is absolutely unacceptable for shipping to take so long.

Stay on the person and don't stray from the fact if you paid for the cel in a timely manner, you should absolutely expect it to arrive in a timely manner. Sellers have their end of the bargain as well and it doesn't stop at sending the item "someday."
Clever is as clever does.
