Help!!! Barbie Doll info anyone? lol...

Post by BeansATL »

Hi All!

I hope everyone is having a great Holiday season! I wish you all the best!

Things are good here... :D

My Mom is doing well with her recovery from her aortic aneurysm. They were able to operate and fix the descending aorta, but unfortunately they were unable to operate on the ascending aorta due to the high risk factor. She just needs to regulate her blood pressure and not stress and she will hopefully have a full life. It's so spooky cause there's always that chance of rupture... **changes subject quickly**

She has now moved into a smaller living space and decided to sell off some of her collections. Since I am an Ebay junkie at heart... she asked for my help in this. Right now I'm listing her Barbie Doll collection. OMG!!! I am BEYOND clueless when it comes to this catagory... shocking eh??? lol 8O

The money raised will go towards her visit with me. That's right She's coming down to Atlanta for a visit and take a break from that Northern cold weather.

So... if ANYONE knows any Barbie collectors PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pass on this link to them. Also, if theres any Barbie collectors here that have some info to add to my auction descriptions or suggestions please contact me.

Thank you for lending me your ear all...

Safe & Happy Holidays!
Sincerely, Harry

Thank you everyone for the input & support. When I saw these dolls I was like UGH!!! 8O

I'll definately look at the links, there's a weeks time for the auctions... so that will give me the opportunity to nip & tuck.

I'm glad that she caught it in time too, this is the same thing that killed John Ritter instantly. It just proves to me even more why I look up to her. She's a survivor.

So again... thank you.

Wow, Harry. O-O

That's no way to spend a holiday... or even the time leading up to same!

I'll poke around a bit out in doll-land this evening and ask the nice folks at Denver Doll Emporium if they can recommend a Barbie expert too. I don't think they do Barbies, but they do carry fashion dolls, so they might have some further insight besides the great leads you already have.

Here's to continued good health for your mom!

Wow, glad to hear your mom will be alright. Those things really do sneak up on you, so I'm glad they were able to catch it. Best of luck on the Barbie Sale. I have a feeling you are going to be filling someone's holiday wishlist with those. I know some collectors at work, so I'll pass along the link.

Awwww... Thank you very much all of you!

This was intended as a celebration, and by no means negative. She survived all of this and is well on her way to an amazing recovery. I'm just super thankful for everything and everyone in my life.

So this is a happy post! lol... I just panicked when it came to the subject of Barbies. :)

And it's just wonderful to chat with you guys. Thanks for the help & support.

Sincerely, Harry
