Yeah!!!!!! We are here and somewhat settled in. I thought the drive through Texas was never going to end people! I was so bored that to keep from falling asleep on the road while driving at night I actually counted all the dead Deer. LMAO.

I am in one piece and back home... I am so lovin it! I missed all the friendly people and clear air here in FL! No offense to those I met in CA. You all are the ONLY exception's to the rule ^_^ with AnimeJewell at the top of the exceptions listing. Hugs to all my at-one-time-close-distance-and-now-long-distance-friends!

Thank you, everyone! It's good to be back. LOL. Sooooooo Is there ever any kind of Con to go to here for Anime related items...?? When I lived here prior I was not collecting so I don't know where to start looking..

JACon in Orlando (May 4-6)
MetroCon in Tampa (July 6-8 )
I guess Anime express in Daytona Beach is cancelled this year. (as per www.animecons.com)

MegaCon is this weekend (Feb 16-18 ) in Orlando.
It is a mixed genre show, which is heavily sci-fi, but still has enough of the anime crowd to make one days visit worth it. The dealer room is Massive (but again heavily scifi), and is about the only thing that required a wrist band to get into when I went in 2005.

I guess there is something new out there too.

Florida Supercon (June 22-24) in Ft. Lauderdale.

never heard of it. but the weekend pass is only $25 so I suppose it wouldn't hurt to check it out.

Congrats on making a move to this wonderful state!

You are actually located on the opposite coast as I am near the Cape. Backlotanimation actually lives not too far from Tampa, and Leah also recently made the move down here too.

There are a few cons that go on down here in Florida, and I think that miz ducky covered all the major ones. There are a few smaller ones, but the main ones I've been to have been JaCon, MegaCon and MetroCon.

Yay! The cel collecting population has been increasing here in the sunshine state!
