Charm Bracelet Analogy - How Are You Described?

Post by JuniorMintKiss »

Okay, so I know that charm bracelets are popular for the most part. I just found mine after misplacing it for a while and I had an interesting idea...what charms would you/do you have to help describe who you are and what you are about? Even if you don't literally have a charm bracelet, just make some up! What would your charms look like and why that charm? Sorry if I'm repeating myself!

I have:

-an American flag
-a grand piano
-I [heart] to crochet
-bowling pins
-music notes
-a tractor
-Queen (my fave band!)
-a frog
-InuYasha charms
-Spongebob charm
-I love my goat
-a family tree chart
-Colorado Avalanche
-my name (Jessica)

Post your description or post some cool ideas for charms. Just have fun!

There is no need to apologize. If you were, would you tell me?

So you understand. Good. That's good information: JuniorMintKiss said I - I am the best.

You know, I never had a real charm bracelet. I think I had a cast-off from my sister at some point, but I can't remember clearly.

So IF i had one, I guess this is what I would have :

Grrr from Invader Zim
a heart with my kid's picture in it
an angel
a feather
a siamese cat
a pomeranian
an australian cattle dog
a maltese
a bengal cat
a sewing machiine
an artist's palatte
a skeleton or a skull with a big hat
a flying pig
a daffodil
Homer Simpson

How fun! I haven't worn my charm bracelet in a long time, but this is what it has:

- a flute
- a skiier
- a cross
- mountains
- a heart
- a lion
- a violet

I haven't worn it since college, so I think it does need some updating. :D

I have a double-decker ( two strings of charms that are attached with 2 large charms ) Inu Yasha bracelet

(really out of focus, but you get the idea )

I also have another un-finished double-decker IY bracelet, and a Rurouni Kenshin and Juuni Kokuki one.

I have another bracelet, that consist mainly of charms of Geisha, ornate fans, and things directly related to my job, such as dice and playing cards and etc.

To answer your question, RoboFlonne...I've bought a few IY charms on the 'Bay and one member custom made me some Scrapped Princess charms! I would just do a Google search for 'custom charms' +'anime' or something to that effect.

If anyone has some reputable links, please post 'em. I'm still looking for more.

All of mine are custom made. I just get the screencaps I want from my DVDs and send them over to the girl I have make them. She has also made full-color dog tags for me, as well.

I have a charm bracelet that I wear . I have the silver/gold combo james avery bracelet that I keep adding to. So far I have:

Texas Charm with heart in the middle
Big Sister Charm
Heart charm from my Mom
Stethoscope
Musical Note
Laptop
BFF Half Heart
Margarita class
Piano
Heart with the initial "A"
Baseball glove with ball
Dog Bone
Cat chasing yarn
CVT charm

I want to get a karate charm, but james avery doesn't have any & the ones I've found online suck. I want to know where you got your Colorado Avalanche charm and what it looks like. :drool

I don't have a charm bracelet; however, I do carry things with me. In my change purse I have two glass beads that I got out of fountains at the local ELCA synod meeting "to remind you of your baptism." [Lutherans don't have to be "saved" in the usual sense because they believe that they got salvation as a free gift through infant baptism.] Also a cat's eye cat that I got at Otakon and a little rock that I took off Henry David Thoreau's grave in Concord MA. (I was tempted to take one of the pennies that was left there, but I understand that this obligates the ghost of the person buried there to haunt you, and I figured HDT had better things to do with his afterlife.)

On my key chain I have an "I love New York City" plaque plus one of the dog licence tags taken from the collar of our much loved but alas deceased companion Sock the night we had her euthanized.

And I'm wearing an enameled pin of Black Chii on the lapel of the jacket I wear to GMU to teach my contemporary legend class.

Put them together and I guess you get the equivalent of one charm bracelet.

JMK, come up to see me sometime. I'd like to see all of your charms.

Stupid 50s joke ... still stupidly funny though :dgrin
