Hi, if you read my last post you might know who I am. I just wanted to properly introduce myself. I have been collecting cels from Sailor Moon, Inuyasha, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Mononoke Hime for a few years now. My passion is Black Lady :love2 from Sailor Moon I mainly collect cels and merchandise of her.

I have been trying to get my gallery at Rubberslug started. But I am having a hard time taking pictures of my cels maybe you guys can help me out? /hp

Im really excited to finally be apart of this cel community :D .

Welcome :)

I agree with the recommendation of a scanner. It gives you a clearer picture of the cel and it's great for most standard sized cels.

Looking forward to seeing your collection. Let me know if I can be of any help.

A NEWBIE! A NEWBIE!

Welcome to Beta! As for custom cel photography, I wouldn't recommend RoboFlonne's services; she is sometime slow in turnaround time. Send me your cels and I'll have the scans in your inbox within 48 hours! High quality guaranteed! Scans so colorful and vibrant that you'll never miss the often dull, oxidized, and line-faded originals! Custom backgrounds digitally added for a modest extra price.

Or, you can just get a basic scanner: recently obsoleted models sometimes show up for heavily discounted prices, and if they are about the same age as your computer, they should work just fine. Only potential problem is old scanner/new computer, as some of the O/S upgrades make it impossible for a new model to "drive" an old accessory (part of the planned obsolescence that's part of the techie world).

One suggestion: try getting a pack of art paper at your local arts supply store and scanning your cels against them. (Don't store them with it, or they'll stick!) I find cels look happier when they have a colored background rather than the scanner lid. (Some cels even get a "squished bug on the windshield" look when you just slap the lid down on top of them, but my Miyus positively beam when I find just the right piece of artpaper.)

Post often: we bid but we don't bite.
