Ripped Off

last modified: Sunday, August 17, 2008 (10:47:21 AM CST)

Yes, it's true.

I've been ripped off $400 from a 2 cel sale deal by Harry Krigel, aka Kaori Androide, whose gallery seems to be no longer on display here at RS or Google-able. He's even changed his EBay seller ID too. 0_0

How far does one man go to rip off a college graduate?? That's pretty *$@!^^)$@ low. It almost reminds me of a certain collector who is no longer with us in virtual embodiment--but still in spirit among the broader realm of our cel collecting cyber world.

I still have all the evidence of e-mails and PayPal transaction receipts to prove it too.

A few months ago, Harry promised to sell me 2 of his prized Mistress 9/Sovereign of Silence cels from his Death Buster's section of his SM collection to me for the bargain price of $400, plus $10 shipping costs, bringing the amount to $410. We even agreed upon a payment plan as well and once it was paid in full, he would ship the cels to me immediately afterward. No, problem right? I've done business with this man before and had no trouble. I only entered the agreement because I knew this could be my only shot to get a chance to own cels from those 2 particular sequences from the S season.

And, by the time the deal was paid in full and it was time to send me the cels... Harry intentionally avoids all communication with me. He doesn't respond to any gallery feedback, e-mail-- you name it, I tried it.

I filed a PayPal buyer dispute and attempted to get all $410 back; but, since Harry purposefully dilly-dallied and botched our deal---they couldn't award me a refund AT ALL. They stated that the transactions were past their time limit to file the claim and all I got back was..... $10....shipping costs.

I appreciate the RS Mods for trying to help me attempt to salvage the situation, from the bottom of my heart a while back. But, I can't keep silent about this any longer. Let's face the truth, be honest and always do the right thing. I always strive as a collector and dealer to go above and beyond the call of duty to satisfy my buyers. If you don't want to complete the deal; then, just say so and refund the portions paid. Don't be a jerk, rip off someone like me and think you're going to get away with it. One of my personal mottoes is, "What goes around comes around." And, I hope I'm getting your attention now.

All I want justice and a refund. Or, there better be 2 animations cels of Mistress 9/Hotaru in my PO BOX within the next 2 weeks. How simple or difficult can that be?

Talking or writing about it helps...and thanks for notifying us of this sorry individual.
We all take risks as we pay people through email conversations without a real personal touch.
I have been extremely lucky in the dealings I have made with numerous honest people....

Is there any way your credit card company or bank could file the chargeback for you? I had a simular situation happen once, only with a costume. After three months and nothing to show for my money, I notified PayPal, but they refused to help me because it had been longer than 30 days. So I contacted Capital One, and low and behold, THEY contacted PayPal and the money was back in my account. :3

I've heard about Harry trying to swindle people way before this incident. He was be claiming this happened and that happened... desperate to sell cels and then all of a sudden brand new cels would appear in his gallery, then either going back on his word to send cels or demanding more money after a deal was made. I heard this from two other cel collectors who have kept an eye on him so I'm not surprised to hear about what happened. I'm sorry it had to come down to that ginga... I hope you can find some sort of compensation or resolution somewhere in the future.

My cat Seeley is a Sailor Moon fan, too!

I didn't anticipate on having a black female cat and a white male cat or I would have named them Luna and Artemis... oh well.

Damn, why do people do it? Really hate to hear this and I hope things work out. If you paid via credit card then I'd contact them as soon as possible as like Ryouko said they can add pressure to Paypal or maybe even refund your money directly.

hey,

thanks for all the support. i'm sorry that i really and honestly trusted him.
if you haven't heard, i started my first full-time job and i hope you'd forgive me that i havent been around much due to fact that i stare at a computer all day long and i have alot of stuff going on right now.

i filed a report on him using www.fraud.org; but havent heard anything. ive received encouragement from fellow RS-ers and my sis and bf to refile the claim again this time with more contact information. it seems that his email addresses have gone bad too. :?

all i know is that he's really going out of his way to stay away from me... maybe because he KNOWS not to mess with THE ginga123.

Im hoping to take further action as well. just need to find time to call the bank and credit card issuers, etc. cuz I havent received a damn thing.

i'll keep you posted and dont be afraid to shoot me an email/galleryfeedback/pm. most of y'all know im friendly. :)

Ack! Sorry you have to deal with this. The sooner you contact your credit card company the better. I hope everything turns out in your favor, and sorry this happened to you. :hurt:

Isn't this his gallery?

But I remember him too, mostly from the time Vampire Hunter D was still very popular and he liked Caroline a lot.
He used to be very active on the Animanga board.

Maybe someone here can help you with an address Ginga.
Hopefully you'll get your cels.

This wouldn't happen to be one of the cels you purchased from him, would it, Ginga?

It's up on E-bay right now for a low BIN. And he's now changed his ID to miznotic_assasin.

Yes... as a matter of fact it is Cutiebunny!

OMG!! That m-$!@#%^*$^ :jaw :dbz:

Thanks to you and Kero, and MG, for helping me track his *#($#* down---I just filed a Offers to Buy or Sell Outside of eBay with one of the many PayPal receipts I have for this transaction. Please pray and ask God that they will stop his auction and/or give me the attention I need to get this fixed.

I also sent an e-mail to him using "ask the seller a question" link to say basically tell him I'm extremely pissed off, have taken the first steps of necessary action against him, and that I'm going to take the next steps...which will be filing a police report, sue, and/or have his auction taken down by EBay.

I'll be in touch---got to take care of my nephew's 2nd b-day party right now.... please pray for me!!!

<3 and thanks to all,
