my brother finally got his power back last night, about 9pmish as well. He was holding up with me the last few nights b/c he wanted a shower and he had projects due for his masters class. No news yet on if their fish survived w/out the aerator/filter going though. The school he teaches at is still currently w/out power though. =\

Tell me more about your family.

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

I got my power (and water) back on Wednesday night - it was out since Friday evening.
I still don't have internet working from home though - but at least I'm back at work. I'm pretty lucky - a lot of people in my office still don't have electricity, and my friend's parents' house was pretty much destroyed.

Y'all are lucky. I have family scattered all over that area and while my relatives in Houston have recently got power back I still have relatives in Conroe that don't have power and have a hole in their roof into their bathroom.
I know they are fried.

When I got home from the movies tonight I noticed that the people in my neighborhood who did not have power got it back. We got our power back on Monday and it was nice that school was cancelled for three days this week! But now I am so behind on my homework - at least my profs gave us all extensions.
I can't even imagine not having power for 6 days. Nor can I imagine actually living through a hurricane!
