BEWARE OF URU'S STARS! Paypal Claim - RESOLVED..kinda

Post by iwakuralain16 »

10/28 UPDATE
I got back 90% of my money from this seller yesterday from Paypal. I got back 100% of the money that is owed to my credit card. The rest is paypal balance money. I was not expecting to get anything back and was already preparing to do a charge back with my credit card. I was really wanting the damnc els though.. :x

I am confident in saying that this woman is a scammer. She took my money, ignored me for almost a month and gave paypal a false tracking number. I have never been so pissed off about a transaction before in my entire life! I have been extremely busy at work and have been dealing with collectors telling me that this woman is trying to sell them cels I have already paid for and should be on the way to me with a fake tracking number... and then she gives them dumb ass excuses as to how it is possible to sell the same cel twice.. LOL yeah no.

I was already worried about getting the package from Italy. I have heard horror stories from other collectors who had to wait months to get a package from there. The Italian postal system os corrupt thus why I wanted to make sure I chose express mail so I could get it in time. That doesn't make it any safer but at least then I could file with paypal if it did not get to me in a couple of weeks. I am not sure about everyone else, but I will not be ordering stuff from Italy EVER again! There is a reason why alot of ebay sellers and business will not ship there.

You can do business with her if you want. Say some positive things about her or let us know of positive transactions that have been completed. At least I know if she is dumb enough to use the same paypal account from other people who are wanting to give her a chance, I will be getting the rest of my money back. :P

And again, here is her gallery:

Sorry for the long title...
There are a number of cels that I have admired in this gallery and I noticied last month that she posted that she is going to be selling her stuff on ebay. So I decided to send her feedback but also send her a message on ebay through one of her active auctions about her gallery. I offered and we went back and forth with her on prices and also shipping options as well. I basically bought some cels and paid for Italy's version of "express mail".

I paid her on 09/10 and have not heard a peep from her since. It took me about 2 weeks just to get the sale settled and the last couple of times we spoke she said she was busy with work and there was a couple of days between my sent e-mail and when she responded.

Not saying I was scammed... yet.I have not filed anything with Paypal because I am hoping that she just responds soon. I have sent her at least 2 e-mails and one message through ebay as well. I know she has been online recently too(via other websites) so I know she has internet access and still alive. @_@ lol She said a couple of other cels had offers on them, so I am hoping someone else besides me has been in contact with her.Plus she did update a good Sm cel and also has her e-mails address on there for people to contact her... Hopefully a Sm collector saw it and has been in talks with her? ack

Let me know... please. If you need more info then please PM me. Sorry for the rambling post... @_@ Thank you!!!

I have sent another e-mail since posting the above topic and I have heard back from at least one collecting stating that they had just spoken to this seller via e-mail as well. Well.. around the original date I posted this topic. Seller yet again, is alive and capable of communicating not to mention replying back to one of many communications I have sent.

I am working a 63 hour work week this week so I really only have time to type this while I am at work on my break... LOL

Tonight whenever I get home I am going to compile some information and will be creating a dispute with paypal. Taking $550ish from someone and then not bothering to respond to any of thier e-mails for the last 20 todays is inexcusable especially if you are communicating w/ people on other websites and other collectors here. All I requested was a tracking number and then requested for her to e-mail me with any type of update.... blah. I will keep everyone updated. :cat

Still no word from her... I filed the dispute on 09/29/2008. Nothing. I may just bump it to claim status even though I have not given her the full 20 days or at least even 15. THEN AGAIN.. I paid on the 10th... which was the last time I heard from her. In two days it will be one month since we last spoke. blah. haha

Again.. Will keep you updated.

I asked for advice from other collectors and the suggested that I go ahead and file the claim since she has not responded to me at all. We will see what happens... She has recently logged onto other websites she uses besides rubberslug so.... whatever. Buyer beware and all of that bullshit. LOL

Thought I'd drag this thread up since I've been in contact with Lain about the seller. The seller has offered to sell to me the exact same cel they sold to Lain that is supposed to be in the mail to her right now. The seller has so far said she has sequence mates but I feel that isn't a very good excuse considering I was originally told I would get a matching background with layout sketches. It's misdescription at the very least.

I've asked to see the sequence mate I would be getting and no reply as of yet. The cel listed is an A1. If the seller was genuine I'd gladly buy an A2 but I'm starting to doubt their honesty. If they can provide scans of the sequence mates like I asked, I'll be amazed. If things change, I'll post an update.

Luckily I never handed over any money but I just hope Lain can get hers back.

Looks like her gallery is now closed on RS. The gallery link takes you to RS's front page.

I asked admin if they could close it and they said they could not. haha... glad she closed it though. I saved alot of pics from her gallery though so I have a "watch out if this shows up on ebay" list. Bitch. She was caught and knows it. oh well. I am so glad I got most of my money back..
