Atatatata... Watchaaaaa !

Post by iceman57 »

Brand new on board, here is a small introduction...

1. The guy :

Will use a typical french structure of introduction.
- General : 30 years old, couple with a German girl, living in Paris for 5 years (damn I originally came here only for 2 :D).
- Family : First baby on the way for July (estimated mid-july to be confirmed).
- Job : Automotive industry (the actual place to be LOL) for over 10 years.
- Bonus : A cutie King Charles Spaniel, ruby color, stuck to 20cm long (don't ask me why, it's a cavalier as big as a squirrel).

2. Why am I here :

Took the risk to go back to school that I quitted a decade before, this time to get a business school Master degree and, I hope, a better future.
Thesis theme is an Anime Cel store and by extension anime cel business, I try to mix my industrial mind and vision with a more business aspect.
Lessons are now over after a whole year, time to write the documentation, target Sep/Oct 2009 for the jury presentation.

3. Collection :

Can we call this a collection, I once heard that a clock collector is a guy with 2 clocks...
Not yet idea of the exact quantity/quality to be estimated by his fathers as being a collector.

Always known that anime cel were existing but supposed till the year 2007 that they were locked in some Studio Alcatraz.
Discovered those art pieces through the Anime-Fantasy shop seller that offered me a special discount as I was arranging an online contest for a fan videogame.
This shop is part of the thesis in order to better understand the anime cel business mechanic and to experiment communication and marketing.

What I like to do is to give anime cel as gift, because in my mind it's even more important than a thousand time duplicated DVD.
This is artistic and really nice once framed. Additionnaly I have always a funny warm feedback about, like transmitting some knowledge to heirs.

4. Community :

I'm quite well known in "Hokuto No Ken" / "Fist of the north star" communities as being the head of "Hokuto No Doom" fan game project.
Especially appreciated for my graphics skills (Photoshop rules), open mind and kind feelings.

Downloads available on trailer page : http://www.hokuto-no-doom.com

5. Works :

Actually studying native English speaking countries, Germany and Arabic countries... Also working on expertise tools.

Your comments or assistance are welcome about all the past, present and future works.

Kind regards.

The reason is due to my mental model of you as a client.

2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.

Welcome to Beta. Don't let Cloud freak you out. He's a bot, but he's got a heart of gold. :) I actually think your test data could turn out very interesting.

Thanks, well I hope so, or I'll not get my degree 8)

I'm actually testing other funny things such as plastic acidity, automatised system for matching background control...
I'm simply trying to express my technic life in a more business aspect.
R&D is the unique way to give a strategic advance to a company...

I had to stop a bit the UV tests due to my school exams, but I'm more able now to work on this...

Regarding the bot, Cloud would better have to say "no" to drug :)

Thanks.

Well I certainly explore some things that have already been done before.
But as I'll have to face a jury, I need to experiment to have a jury-proof vest :D

UV test goal is to define a possible risk of peremption, usefull in a B2B situation (cels stucked on shop glasses) or a buying option to a collector that exposed cel, or for an exhibition planning.
Another way of analyse is the measure of the real requirement of an UV glass compare to the anime cel cost.

Stuck test goal is restricted to non matching stucked elements, in order to bring back the regular quotation of an artwork.

Ask/Comment any part of the listed pages in the gallery...
The harder this will be, the best I'll progress.
