I've been lurking for a while, so I thought I should introduce myself. I mostly collect genga and douga (because my profession forces me to feel guilty about the storage environment for cels in my apartment). I'm working on getting a gallery together, hopefully it'll be up soon!

Welcome to Beta! And there's nothing wrong with focusing on sketchwork, as that has become the major technology for perpetuating an artform that we all love. (It has conservation issues of its own, but they are arguably easier to manage than caring for cels.) Looking forward to your comments and seeing your gallery.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the welcome. Professionally, I take care of museum and archives collections, so it always makes me cringe to think of the few cels I do have sitting in my apartment. Thankfully, I’m able to provide a good environment for my sketches, at least.

I look forward to participating in the community, but I’m a lurker by nature. So don’t hold it against me if I only pop up here and there!
