Way back toward the beginning (last YEAR even) Makoli said "25 and beginning to get gray hairs already." Don't sweat the gray, it's truly more genetic than anything else. I worked with a very fine 25-year-old back about 13 years ago, who was at that time completely gray. My mom was totally gray (well, yellow, because she smoked) when she was 30. I managed to stave it off somehow until I was around 35, and although I'm probably half-and-half now, I still have a long way to go. So don't worry about it. Do what I did, gray evenly all over. For the longest time people thought I had gotten my hair frosted...

I KNOW there are more than 2 of us in that next to top bin.
EDIT: Oooo! Glorff! I get to be younger than you for a couple of months! Yee hah!

I do think Sensei has us all beat, though.

The bizarre thing -- and I'm willing to bet Shellie and JWR and others would agree -- is how very little chronological age has to do with the way you are after a certain point. I refuse to grow up (as should be obvious most of the time). One of the things I adore about this hobby is being able to giggle about -- and learn things from -- people a third of my age, older than me, or anywhere in between. If you bumped into me on the street you'd call me ma'am. But in here I'm just another anime goon

Grey? I went WHITE by the time I was 35! (Yes, it is genetic on my mom's side). I just considered it an excuse to try out myriad hair colors. I agree with Baakay, age really means nothing.

I raz about me being old, but I do it with a big smile on my face because I don't feel like I'm 41 (or 42? sheesh! I honestly don't remember! I'll have to go look at my profile! HA!) so I don't mind telling people I'm an old coot! I'm having too much fun to care if I'm "acting my age."

One of my friends (a lovely woman of my own age who actually ACTS her age!

) gave me the standard rolling eyeballs when she saw my newest gundam key chain dangling from my purse. "What's THAT? A robot or something?? Are you holding that for one of the boys? Oh ya. You like that kind of thing, don't you."

I'm long past being bugged by comments like that since I get 'em all the time.

Life is too short to masquerade as someone normal!

... I guess I'll add to the post. I'm 19 turning 20 in December. I don't feel old and I don't think 40 is an old age either I guess it's since my mother is in her 40's and still watches anime with me. Or without me sometimes! LoL!

Well, one of the benefits of being older is that you can always leverage the
"It's for my kid(s)." excuse. There are two variations of this. Baakay uses
the one where she buys something "for the kids", but we all know that it's
really for her. The other one is where you buy something that you don't
really want to admit that it's for you, so you say it's for your kid(s). (Note:
unless the person knows you, you don't even actually have to have kids to
use this one)

The only thing I haven't gotten my grubby paws on yet is the Grunty.
