I'll admit...I have to have a coming soon section. I know a lot of people don't like them but I function better if I do have one.

So what do you all think about me opening mine up again to view?

Im not sure if people are interested in viewing the coming soon sections or not so Im just wondering.

I have coming soon section as well (and also it is hidden ) I am pretty sure some hates me for it

But personally I like to see them (if I can). But I also understand why you are hiding them as well...

For me seriously I forget everything if I do not do this. and I keep hiding b/c I am not sure that I can openly showing them (some said I can but I just want to make sure). Technically I still do not have them yet eben though I fully pay for them.

I don't have one myself because generally I do a much better job of scanning the cel than the sellers do. Also because sometimes I have to clean up the cel (remove stuck sketches or paint from cels being stuck on top before) before I scan.

I do keep a folder on my computer to keep track of what I've won, though.

What you do is entirely up to you, though. It's your webpage. Do what makes you happy

I'm w/ Kymaera, who cares about others, just do what
works and feels right for ya.
Nobody forces anybody to click.
RS has a neat feature that when you hover over the
gallery name tells you what that person updated w/.

However, if you just want to hear opinions about
'coming soon' sections then, personally, I dont care for them.

I enjoy seeing the clean fresh scans myself
With commentaries are always a plus
(love reading the story or sentiment behind the purchase of the goodie)


I use to have one yrs ago but had it hidden or would delist
my gallery so I wouldn't bump off a real updated gallery off
the front page. But after a while it was too troublesome to keep up
so I just setup a folder on my computer instead that helps me keep
track of stuff and thats worked out beautifully for me. ^_^

I just modify the 'trash' section of the coming soon page on my gallery. I make an old item active, hide it, edit it, add the new item I won, and voila - the new item appears hidden in the coming soon section and will not show that I've updated my gallery(nor will it bump any other gallery off the main page). This way, I can see the item that I won during the months it might take me to update with that item.

I'm with the others - do whatever works best for you.

As what everyone says, do what you're happy with...as that's what it comes down to! I'm not a big fan of coming soon sections myself, but I'm not gonna begrudge anyone for it!!

I never look at coming soon sections myself. Usually they're bad images taken from others' websites so you can't make it the same quality as the rest of the images in your own gallery. But I will chime in and say you have to do what you want to do. Don't worry about what anyone else wants you to do.
