Done: and thanks for your own very helpful feedback. Check out my new "Quirky Gallery Tour," which was partially inspired by your suggestion to create an "interactive" section of my collection.Krafty wrote:As per, if anyone has sent me anything and they're not on the list, please resend it.

I’ll wait for the rest of the feedback before I start editing/altering my gallery. I'd like to thank everyone who left feedback for me so far. They’re informative and helpful and visiting other galleries also gave me some ideas for my own (and possibly some new series to check out). I'm very grateful for participating in this event

Just wondering if everyone else is going to pull their finger out and crack on with the feedback?
I know I've been slow completing his year's Open House as I've just finished today. However, I'm still awaiting 18 feedback out of 37 which is an awful lot.
I know it takes a lot of time and effort but that's what we signed up for with Ralph hosted the event. I don't usually get worked up by things like this because we're all doing this in our own precious time, but having spent 5 hours on this today, I can't help thinking that others should devote some effort into completing this task too.

Out of the gloom a voice said unto me;
"Smile and be happy, things could be worse".
So I smiled and was happy
and behold;
things did get worse...

I had similar results: feedback from 24 participants, none from 13. That's about a 2/3 actual participation rate. About 2 weeks ago, I pretty much concluded the event on my side and took down all the special welcomes in my gallery. (The carnivorous red ants around here had long since polished off the cookies that I'd left out in March.)
While the percentage of non-feedbackers was a little disappointing, I still considered that the results had been successful enough to justify my participation. In fact, I felt that I had gotten nearly as many good ideas from the galleries I visited and wrote feedback for as I'd gotten from other curators. It was, after all, a daunting job, and maybe too much of a task this time for people who haven't spent a lifetime patiently grading their way through stacks of freshman comp. research papers every week.
Suggestion: rather than harassing the non-completers, perhaps those of us who did finish could be awarded one of those mysterious "medals" that the sidebar leaves room for. And perhaps the next time the Open House could be limited to the first 20 galleries responding (with maybe a provision favoring those who didn't have a chance to participate this time or ever).
I do think the questions were very helpful in focusing the visits, and I'd like to see that continue. Though maybe the organizer could insist that the number be limited to 3-5, no more.
Overall, I think it was well worth doing, and I'm very happy with the gallery makeover that resulted. I'd like to thank again everyone who stopped by to comment and to RalphVboy for doing the necessary organizing.

Why? I hear you. And for my part, I would like to show it to you, but I can't.

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
-I, Robot (Asimov)
