The Land Before Time Masterpiece

Through a contact with a dealer I was recently able to acquire one of my favorite scenes from The Land Before Time with the actual master production background.

This is one of the best scenes from the movie, where Petrie announces that he smells Duckie as she happens to be sitting on his head.

Of course while you're in my gallery please check out the copious Hunter X Hunter updates I've been making the past few weeks. I'm putting most of the series in my gallery in chronological order, so for a few of them you might have to, dare I saw, hunt them down.

I nearly had a mini-heart attack this morning when it arrived, as when I opened up the package I saw the cel was attached not to a master background, but to a copy! I was about to go apoplectic when I noticed the actual background tucked in behind the copy. Whew!

Congratulations, killua! It's a cute scene, and the background fits it nicely. You think maybe the original owner made a bunch of copies of the bg to sell individual cels from the cut and used one for the cel s/he kept to protect it from light/bumping?

A great feeling to own a significant piece of a great film's "texture."

That was my me and my sister's favorite part in the Land Before Time! We laughed so much at it when we were little! What an awesome find - congratulations!

Thank you so much for sharing! I remember that scene by heart from being a kid. Especially because it was my mom and dad's favorite scene (they would repeat the phrase with my name inserted ^.^)

Ah man, this movie does me in every time I see it. Just the opening scene of the turtles swimming in the water and the music gets me bawling before any credits pop up. What a great piece to have (brings back so many memories for me!)

The Land Before Time is my favorite piece of animation, so every time I get anything from it is incredible. This piece was just incredibly incredible though. Definitely one of the most memorable parts from the movie.

sensei, yeah that's probably the case. I know the owner did sell other cels from that sequence with copied backgrounds, and perhaps was intending on selling this one with the copied bg originally.
