I don't think I've collected enough of any one series or theme to set my collection apart. At one time, I might have said the ratio of sketches > cels, but quite a lot of people collect sketches these days.

I think it counts. I like your puddles; they're one of the things that inspired me to put more effort into my gallery design.

I don't think that I have anything that really sets my gallery apart. I own some unique items, but, so do other collectors. I also have a massive "scanning" pile to the point that most items I post now are items I've had for two years. But, I know of several other collectors who have a scan pile as well.

So...

The largest contributor to the shared background gallery on RS? /hmm

The "Junk World" sign I posted in my wishlist area? /hmm

I don't know.

i think what sets my gallery apart is that i have some youtube videos on there of the actual scene where the cels are from... mostly my inuyasha section has that.

as for cels itself, i cant think of anything that really sets them apart.

just that i love them very much since theyre mine. /lv

Absolutely nothing other than the typical "largest public online collection of *insert favourite series/character here*"

My gallery

Post by alyssium »

My Ah my Goddess section is sequentially listed (with all the matching times from the movie) and any cels from the same sequence i have painstakingly but back together in animated gifs.

Its takes heaps of time to put together but im really happy with the result :)

I have also tried to Id every single cel i own... which im well on the way of doing (such a huge task as i have over 1000 now) but a target i think i will meet one day.

I write. A LOT. in the description areas on average. I try to establish a nice picture of the scene so that it's easier to envision the scenario that occurred when that particular cel or sketch came into play. Also, I'm slowly but surely recreating backgrounds for most of my cels based upon the original scene. So I guess I'm one of the few masochists on RS who spends a good chunk of time digitally recreating high res backgrounds to print out for their cels. ^_^

I have collected at least 40 cels of Cooan/Catzy, a secondary villain from Sailor Moon R. It doesn't sound like much compared to the amount of cels other people have collected of one character or series, but she was only in a very few episodes.

Also I have never considered ending my collection ^.^ Though I'm sure that isn't unique, you hear more about the ones that do than the ones that don't naturally.

Can't really think of anything else that is unique compared to what others have already said ^.^

I think it's my focus. I've thought about collecting other series, but I think it could take away from what I want to do. I would eventually like to have one of the best Naruto OP collections. I know I'm not there yet, but I also think I'm off to a good start.

It's been a few months since I've had time to even check in on the forum, so I didn't expect to be posting. I found this to be a pretty interesting question though...

I suppose the most obvious thing that sets my gallery apart is my obsession with the Vampire Miyu OVA, but I feel that there is something else that is difficult to put into words...... I don't know... maybe it some of the combinations I have. Who else is an avid collect of Ghibli, Angel's Egg, Mahou Tsukai Tai, and KO Beast? You don't typically see the same combinations together in other galleries. ^_^;
