Well, I didn't make it to AX or Comic Con International, but I still managed to add some great pieces to my collection - and they all happen to be dog and cat related!
First, here are four new cels from Gay Purr-ee:

And two new cels from All Dogs Go to Heaven:

And...drum roll please...an AH-MAY-ZING original sketch of Scooby-Doo and the The Gang by Iwao Takamoto, the creator of Scooby-Doo himself:

I am head over heals in love with this piece. Its huge - 11"x17" and it was partly a birthday present from my mom and dad. Check out the detailed scans I included in the spaces reserved for cel sketches. In the main scan of the whole drawing its hard to see their expressions. Scooby, Shaggy and Velma are the best.
Over all I am very content with my production art yield for this summer. I usually spend more but I just bought a Macbook pro for school and I'll have a credit card paid off by the end of September (woo hoo!).
Its raining cats and dogs!

Amen, sista! And don't get me going on that there front. (I'm just heading out the door with my protest signs, bullhorn, Bible, and legal handgun to go to a Town Hall on health care, but I'm stopping by a Thomas Kinkade authentic signed litho burning on the way home.)I can't believe people will pay so much more for something fake and mass produced when they could have an original created by a legend.
That was an impressive update. The rat-race announcer cel from All Dogs Go to Heaven is really very impressive, as is the Charlie/Gator. And I love the cel of Jeune Tom packing the bad kitty into the mail order basket! Getting the layout copy to display behind it was a wonderful bonus. "13 rue de la Dragon" -- heh!
And of course the Iwao Takamoto sketch is stunning. Thanks for including the more detailed scans in the thumbnails, which let us really get a good look at those expressions. Congratulations on making a really entertaining gallery even more so.
