Halloween Makeover and Update (CCS, TnN, Hyper Police)

Between work duties (yes, retirement just means a shift of energy, not extra r'n'r time) I've managed a gallery makeover for Halloween, plus a small update, not spectacular but enjoyable and extremely satisfying.

From Cardcaptor Sakura:

Clow Reedâ€™s garden in summer, and

The scary autumn landscape that immediately follows. These two complete my set of the four iconic "season" images from Sakura's Ep. 68 visit to the past to meet Clow Reed. All of them were done in a distinctive "impressionist" style that stands out from the rest of the show and is extraordinarily beautiful. Thanks to Rallihir for being willing to let "Autumn" come join the other three.

Plus A spooky nightscape from Sakuraâ€™s Ep. 69 ordeal with creepy Eriol, which I used as one element in my gallery makeover.

From Hyper Police:

A funny cel of [the other] Sakura enraged at poor Natsuki (sheâ€™s just offered the hungry fox-spirit a handful of dry cat food).

A great cel of Sakura on assignment, all bounty-hunter business as soon as she hears her collar stir down at the end of a long, dark alleyway.

And from Tenshi ni Narumon:

A dramatic cel of Natsumi in the pool, just after the featherbrained Noelle has made her learn something about herself.

A sensuous cel of the one-winged angel Raphael snuggling in bed.

And two of the set-ups from Step 20 where Raphael seems to run away and Mikael looks for him all over town. First, In the playground. (I'd previously owned a set of rough sketches working up this scene).

Then, On the shady side of the street.

Finally, The A1 cel of Yuusuke climbing to the Celestial Stairway that goes with my precious set of Hitomi Kato shuusei gengas from this Step 25 cut. My thanks to Rummy for being willing to accept an offer for these last three.

Love the autumn background, the style for all of the garden backgrounds is so unusual!

The backgrounds are so nice! I liked that you used one for you're wallpaper, it fits perfectly

Thanks for giving Foxy Sakura her due. I think she's a superb character, both in visual design and in character development, reason enough to watch this flawed but always entertaining series.

Madhouse did themselves proud with this set of backgrounds. They also did a similar trick with the Alice in Wonderland episode, but those bgs are the devil to find and win on YJ.

Thank you, funshine! The Raph was irresistable. Whether you find the yaoi elements appealing or not, he's a rogue from heaven. (I once commented that if there were pirates in heaven, they'd be like him.)

Actually, I had that in mind when I bid on the lot. Plus the cut is right next to another for which I have a bunch of roughs and layouts.
