Maybe just put the name of cel and tell them to visit in a week or so to see the actual cel

I voted that I do like coming soon sections. Though they may take away from the excitement of the actual update, I'm always anxious to see what people have ordered. I have no patience. I myself have one because I'm too excited to tell everyone what cels I've ordered. I just can't wait.

I enjoy your game of whats coming soon!

And like Jason the amount of time it takes to get some cels, I like to have a reminder of what"s coming to my own sight!!

I don't post much info with the cels in my coming soon series, I save that for when the cels are in hand!!

A coming soon page has never stopped me from checking a web sight out!

I like seeing cels on order because I like seeing cels. However, I don't like to put them up in my own gallery because I don't want to 'jinx' their arrival and because I like to give them a little time to clear off the dealer's pages and out of collective memory of pricing and so forth. I also prefer to keep things to my own scans... thus ending up rather behind some years with my gallery. ^^;

Eh, I'm impatient as can be...thus, I love to see coming soon pages...I mean, you're going to see them eventually anyway, why wait?

i voted no cuz its kinda like knowing what your getting for x-mas, theres no surprise.

i think it would be cool that if you did have a coming soon section, to only show a small portion of the cel. that way you would know for sure what it was.

Wow, this is an old thread.

I have a coming soon section, but I distort the images so you have no idea what the cel is. I'm just letting everyone know that I have cels on the way, but they'll have to wait to see what they are!

I dont have a coming soon section in my gallery.
Just like to display cels that I have right at that time
in my posession

There's really no reasoning behind it
other then I don't do it

I distort the images so you have no idea what the cel is

I like that idea! People know you have new stuff coming,
so they will stop by more often to see if you have it yet.
Yet until that time your the only who knows what it is

I say Yes - Because I'd *LOVE* to see what YOU have on the way. But personally No - I'm afraid that I jinx it and never see what I have purchased!

Personally, I don't like coming soon sections. ^^ Mostly cuz it takes extra work to put them together (im a lazy bum), and takes away from the fun of an update. If I've seen someones 'coming soon' page, I don't tend to go back when they update, since it's stuff i've seen before.

Though, I must agree, to an extent, with Jason in the fact that YJ cels sometimes take a long while to get. Due to continued purchasing from a few different deputies, i've waited up to 6 months before asking them to ship before so I can just get about 25 or so cels at once. In that case just a thumbnail in your gallery might be nice.

^_^ But overall i still don't like coming soon sections. Though, I do have a coming soon folder (offline) in my cel scans folder full of scans of stuff on the way. But I only started that recently so i know what I have coming in.
Boy howdy, there is nothing like waking up to the mailperson ringing your doorbell at 10am and thinking "what the hell did i order this time?"

Wow thread revival!

I have a coming soon section, because when I first started I only had cels coming from Yahoo Japan and we all know how long that can take!

And I was really eager to open a rubberslug gallery My coming soon doesn't always have what I have "coming soon" because I'm forgetful sometimes!

I don't have a coming soon section because I like the excitement of being surprised. If you do have a coming soon section I like it when they fuzzy the image to make you try and guess. Someone on this board does that.. porunga or paSTATdude maybe?
