It's interesting: beforehand, the knee looked healthy on the outside but hurt like sin on the inside. The surgeon said they found several bone spurs that were cutting into flesh, as well as floating debris in the joint that made it seize up in excruciating pain at unpredictable moments. There was genuinely ugly stuff in there that no one could see but which my wife's body could feel and was sending her nearly constant distress signals.
Now the outside looks disgusting but we take it in stride because already she can feel that the joint is much more reliable and the pain of the procedure is lessening day by day. And everyone in the facility comes by to admire the surgeon's work, so there's no incentive for us to continue being squeamish. It's a clear step ahead for the future.
oh btw, hey how does she feel about you making it into a banner, sensei?
or does she know?

No, it's just progressive arthritis, which runs in her family. She managed to stave it off for several years with physical therapy and exercise, but this past summer life just ganged up on her. Happily, a lot of medical progress has been made in the last decade, so she's having a much better experience than if she'd had the knee replacement done when it was first proposed.
OMG Sensei....
That is so disturbing...
Actualy is just creeped me out.....I'll show it to my brother, he will freaking faint XD (Glad she is feeling better)
-Nice gallery like always ^_~
-Working on my layout....Hopefully during the mornings since I work at night *_*

(off topic)
aw well im glad she had a good doctor! there are so many quacks out there its scary! a lady my mom works with had hers done and he did a terrible job. she can barely walk and has to have the surjury again to correct the correction.
so she's very blessed to have such a good doctor and to have no complications!
thank God!
Then again, my layout's not really for the contest itself as I've been doing holiday themed layouts for a couple of years now. I'm just grateful to be able to show off my new one. That's enough of a prize for me.
By the way, if any of you can think of something that might improve my Halloween theme easily, feel free to let me know!
i think its cool!
sometimes less is more (i made a banner for my site but im not sure if its too much. i think i might take it down before im officially done).
Eep!! Yuri I think your gallery is so cute. However spiders scare me. Yet that one is really cute..lol
"Look what I'm offering you-- your dreams I ask for so little. Just let me rule you, and you can have everything that you want. Just fear me, Love me, Do as I say, and I will be your slave"
My banner can't compete with the lovely Halloween costume that Mrs. sensei's knee is wearing, but it's pretty much finished. (Except...the music on the home page will change as soon as I can settle on what to use. If you listen to the song that's there now, don't blame me if you get the stupid thing stuck in your head. ) http://garden.rubberslug.com
