Manslayer: Any decent artwork for 'Tsukihime' is rare at the best of times, so when these gengas came up for Arcueid, I jumped at the chance.
Mate, the weather for Christmas day was spot-on perfect, though the following days, the public holidays, it was quite ordinary; 18 & 20degrees at the end of December, like WTF?? But compared to what is happening elsewhere - floods in Central & Northern NSW, flooding in Queensland. Snowstorms & below freezing weather across the UK, most of Europe & the US - I am not complaining!! Hope all is well on your side?

Macron One: there have been quite a few really nice Nadesico cels which have been on both YHJ & Mandarake this past year, but I have decided to leave alone; thankfully some of those have popped up in your Gallery so I can view them at any time When the Yurika + Akito cel came up I was determined not to miss-out!
You have done such an Awesome job building up your own Gallery to the extent of where it is now over only just a 12month period.

Sensei: always an honour receiving a compliment from you sir. I am just following on from your own examples, where you take the time & effort to research and detail each of your pieces.
Reading through your comments in the Rozen Maiden section enticed me to watch & enjoy a series I would normally never have considered.

Rei: I have a special Fumoffu Rilezu which just missed shipment this time, that you will love next time. Hint: "Fumoffu. Fumoffu Fumoffu!!"

I just got flooded in Emerald today, not bad as to the other towns in Qlds. Not sure how high the water level in the company house where
I'm staying in - "I would say 5 too 20 cm of water" at the place -.

With the Easter & corresponding Public Holidays upon us, it gives me some time to post up the latest cels I have managed to acquire. I will be adding stuff over the next day or two, but already included in this latest update are a couple Opening Credit cels from Escaflowne (my favourite!!):

Thank-you Sir; the Rozen Maiden series has become a firm favourite of my little sister who has consistently watched one or two episodes a day for the past two months, which I am thankful for as that means less Wiggles DVDs to endure!!

Thank-you for your kind compliments Macron One; the Ruri cel came from a YHJ auction earlier in the year. Had to fight for her a little but glad I persevered as the following week a sequence-mate showed up on The BWA - the "OTIKA" was reversed - which subsequently went for well over double the amount I originally paid.

I am a bit late this year, but I'm proud to announce the first of my usual Quarterly updates has been uploaded to the Phoenix 'slug site.

I was fortunate enough to hunt down another Fate/Stay Night Rilezu Cel, this time depicting one of the series' other main protagonists - Rin Tohsaka (and main character of the movie). Those that have seen the anime series will recognize that the Cel comes from the Opening Credit Sequence:

I've been wondering for awhile now but, I've never seen any sketches of gligamesh around anywhere, it'd be pretty cool to have something from that character I imagine

Hi Everyone,

My third quarter updates have all mostly been uploaded. Continuing on from my general goal over the last 12-18months, I have deliberately concentrated on collecting quality over quantity - that is hunting down those pieces that may attract a private collector & be sucked down into a "black-hole" never to be seen again, but instead making them viewable to my Beta-Brethen & the wider cel community. It is my pleasure to introduce the latest additions:

* It cannot be a typical 'Phoenix' update unless there was at least one Escaflowne Cel included
In this instance I have two (with another two on the way!). This shot is of a concerned Hitomi clutching her pendant:

There are two images - the main with Hitomi's hand closed around her pendant (A6), the other is with her hand open with a faint reddish glow in her palm (A10). I also love the affects of the 'shadow' work done on the Cels; in the episode Hitomi is sitting next to a lattice window with a full moon (and a full 'mystic' moon) shinning down.

* Next up is a Rilezu for my new "Strike Witches" section:

Aptly dubbed 'The Strike Package' by mates who have already seen it (you will see why). The shot itself comes from Episode 7 and those that have watched the series will no doubt remember the hi-jinx involved in that particular episode! It is my Gallery's first 'booby' shot, so those @ work, you have been warned.
(This is only one of two Rilezu's I have seen made available on YHJ over the last 12months, so I was not going to pass up this opportunity). This turned out to be a hard fought action.


* Up next is one I consider to be a truly rare beauty - it depicts Rei Ayanami from Neon Genesis Evangelion actually smiling:

I love this scene & the close-up of Rei where she finally smiles up at Gendo has always been a 'wishlist' chase for me.


* And finally last but certainly not least, is this new Nausicaa cel:

It is an absolutely stunning profile of one of my favourite heroines and is truly an honour to be able to own such a piece. This one is definitely heading straight into the library, by-passing the 'pool-room' This turned out to be another hard fought auction.
