Long overdue update: Gokudo, Kenshin, Tsukikage Ran, etc!

Waaaay back at the beginning of October, when I was trying valiantly to hack up a lung or two, I fell even behinder in my need to update my cel site. Yes, that was thanks to the Cel Present of 2006, part of my birthday gift from Kymaera. (Who also got me three very lovely anime figures, too, but that's another story. "Surfing the Web... Surfing the Web!")

But of course, birthday presents aren't all that you'll see in my update. No, sir... I got Gokudo cels for myself, too! *does the happy moron dance*. And Kenshin. And Ran, and CCS. And Shamanic Princess. And I'm sure I'm forgetting something.

So please enjoy. Or laugh your fanny off, whichever suits. This was a heck of a better way to spend Black Friday than fighting the mobs while dizzy!

I LOVE the update!!

I get the biggest kick out of looking at your Gokudo cels. Without exception, they make me smile and/or laugh out loud each and every time ... and I always ask myself: "Why haven't I watched this show?" The new additions to that section are no exception -- I adore the farthest away "zoom" one, where his hair is flying all around. But, that super close up one is too, too perfect. I mean, the expression on his face! That is definitely an anime character up to no good. *snickers*

I love the new Kenshin cels. Both are gorgeous, and that glare made me wilt. Wow, and, just ... wow. Yeah. That's about all I can say about those.

Your Tsukikage Ran cels are, as always, fantastic. I love the "glare-y" one of her springing into action. I enjoyed that show so much, and wish it had been a lot longer. Visiting your collection from it lets me remember just what a fun show it was.

I love those El Hazard cels with the original backgrounds. What an incredible find! The colors are so vibrant and beautiful -- really perfect for setting up an alternate world. Yet another show I desperately need to watch, as I am reminded each time I visit your gallery.

I think I must share some of your "odd" sense of humor (which, by the way, makes it "perfectly normal" in my book ), because those knight cels made me laugh out loud. I don't think they could be any more perfect if they tried! I'll definitely be back to visit those again later.

But, my very favorite thing out of this update was that amazingly beautiful Sara cel. All I can say is ... wow! That cel is such a perfect example of the artwork from Shamanic Princess. The coloring and expression are both beautiful, and that hair -- holy wow! Just a mesmerizing cel, overall.

I just have to say (although I know you already know this) how very much I love your gallery, Baakay! It is a pure joy to visit it, both because the layout is so easy to navigate, and because your collection is such a beautiful reflection of the zany, fun, incredible person you are. It's easy to tell how much you love this hobby from the energy and emotion you put into curating your gallery. And, I love that.

I like the El Hazard cels. They look like they're all from the TV series, 'cuz I've only seen the OVA and I don't remember those funny headbands . . . but you never know. Regardless, the backgrounds are beautiful.

Great update! I especially love the Kenshin where's he's looking sideways at you. Is his eye really that red? WOW! It just stands out at you. I would hate to have him look like that at me.

Kymaera: oh goober mine, I am NOT putting your extra hentai cels on my site!! -- Note to innocent bystanders. It's not that I don't like them at all, it's just that in this fine state, um...that would not be a smart thing to do . Half-nekked Astral as is close as I dare get.

He's fond of snagging breathtakingly gorgeous shots from Mei-King and sending me the embarrassing breast shots. Or Cain's cute little nekked rump engaged in muscle-building exercises. In this case it's a closeup of Cain about to engage in serious conversation with one of the aforementioned mammaries.

One has to wonder why he (the Goober, not Cain) fears posting a picture of a doll in panties, though... Especially since Klet has a reasonable facsimile thereof in her siggie

Klet YAY! You saw it. I seriously couldn't believe it when I noticed that about the sword. I blinked my myopic eyes, adjusted my glasses, and said nope, there's no way that could be a natural phenomenon!! Isn't that hilarious??!! I'd be darned cranky, too! Oh, and don't feel bad about the El Hazard... after close to seven years the wealth of OVAs and TV series all kind of blend together for me, too.

Duotrouble Yes! Kenshin's eye is really red! Isn't that the coolest? I'm thinking it *might* come from the fight with Jin-e, but I need to look at that episode again to be sure. Either that or he's getting a reflection off something... there's more than one "fire at night" scene, for sure... This one I MUST identify .

You are waaay too good to me Here I sat for several hours yesterday wondering what on earth I could say about any of the Goduko cels, since the only ones I can positively identify are the "zoom sequence." And you pick out my judging of the flex for praise!! I think he's just throwing a hissy because Gokudo is not properly impressed, or something like that. But it just struck me so funny.

Some day I'm going to make an animated gif of the zoom. I now have what, six cels from the sequence, with the intervening sketches... it's so fun. I'm so weird.

Well yes ma'am, it's a DARN happy hilt. But it's the other end of the sword that has found its Happy Place, if you ask me. (Sorry... I just finished watching Shaman King, a few light-years behind everyone else, and the Happy Place reference keeps sticking in my head).

Yay! A lot of series updates that I like and love! Ok since there's so many I will just let you know that I found the drawing "glitch". It's quite hilarious too but cel scores way up there for entertainment value.
