New non-cel webpage updates - Update March 19

Post by kymaera »

Unfortunately, my deputy seems to be taking their sweet time to ship things this week, so don't have the cel update I had planned.
But, in lieu of that, I finally got around to updating my figure and avatar webpages.
- Added 13 figures from 9 different series to the figure webpage
- Added 101 avatars from 31 different series to the avatar webpage

wowsers. I always forget how many gazillion avatars you have until I stop back in there! (Sure wish I liked the GIRLS in the series! ;))

Is there a separate linky thingy that takes me to your new figures? I browsed around and saw lots of great stuff, but I'm not sure which ones are new. (You didn't help me out with the big red "NEW" like you have in your cels! :))

And as previously mentioned, I did have a few more coming in.

Rin Tohsaka from Fate Stay Night
Arika Yumemiya from Mai Otome
Erstin Ho from Mai Otome
Hikaru from Peace@Pieces

and a set of Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya figures from Figumate:
Haruhi
Mikuru
Ryoko
Tsuruya
Yuki
and the special rare Yuki variant

Also, I'm trying to restart my blog. I'd let it be idle for about a year.

Kymaera getting more girl figurines is as surprising as me watching another mech anime! My favorite in your newest batch is the Hikaru... very pretty! I don't think I've ever even heard of Piece @ Pieces.

I also enjoyed reading your blog. It's nice to read what you like about the things you collect, especially since they are so different than what usually draws me. I think that's interesting. Glad you started it back up! Remind us when you update the blog, so I can learn more about those strange non-mech shows. :)

Thanks for showing interest..keeps me interested in keeping it going. I'm going to try to update it every day or two. Check back tomorrow for a more detailed write-up (and more pictures) of the Hikaru figure followed by the same for the Rin figure on Wednesday. I took all the pictures yesterday...just need to finish up the write-up's.

Awesome update kymaera! I remember a few weeks back checking your figures collection for the first time. You have a really huge collection 8O.

I was wonder, can you take a group picture of all the figures together? Just curious as to how much space they all take up and what they look like in a group shot. 8)

Umm...on the subject of "can", maybe, but I'd have to clear out a room to do so. On the subject of "will"....no way! It would take WAY too much time and effort to do that. I've got boxes of figures all over the place.

To give you an idea, here's a picture I took of my haul from my second trip to Japan. This is around 40-50 figures and it covers almost all my kitchen table. And there weren't that many of the larger figures in this batch.

Is that an Anju figure in the far bottom right?

Also since you're the expert, Kym-chan.

Where can I find a Suiseiseki and Sougintou SRDX Yujin figures for less then an arm and a leg?

Yes, it is indeed Anju-chan.

There's a new release of Sougintou coming out in May. HLJ has it for preorder here..

Unfortunately, I don't know of any place right off that has the original Sougintou or Suiseiseki in stock. Neither Hobby Search or HLJ have it.

A Black Rose instead of a feather and movable joints and a removable head. Should I get that one or the original Sougintou?

As for Suiseseki... I found one on Yahoo! Singapore, but it was cancelled for some reason.

Oh...
Just found this one on Yahoo Japan.

Waaaay too many figures to do that. He's got a giant, 8 foot (or so) glass case next to his computer, smaller cases in the back of the house, about six boxes in the library (about the size of those flat boxes you get two six packs of soda in) and some more on his tv stand. Just . . . a lot of figures! X|

Even if he took a picture of the giant glass case, he'd have to go through and stand 'em all up properly. :P Some of them aren't exactly balanced very well.

Like I said before, I really like this one:

Just super cute!

I see you did pretty well with your Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya box, too. How many extras?
