Updating with Screen Caps (blogette)

Hello!!

I've started taking screen caps for my FB collection. I started out sorting files into folders based on what episode I think they belong to, but I realized that there are a lot of sketches that I just can't place.

The two large Hatori sequences have me stumped.
I'm not sure which fight sequences the Kyo and Yuki sets belong to.
I also can't tell where some of the Shigure's come from.

So, if you have a pretty good idea where some of them came from please post here!

Also, sometime in the first 1/3 of next year I plan on selling all my Saiyuki sketches, so if anyone is interested in any of those feel free to let me know.

yes! i'm going to stake early claim on the saiyuki.

it'd be a bit before i did.

cant wait to see the screen caps. need to get my ass in gear and get snag it so i can screen cap stuff.

Kira: I first thought about trying to sell it all together, but now I think I'll just figure out a price for each set and sell them that way. I think I counted 10 sets and 1 individual sketch. There will be no time limit, they'll be available until someone buys them.

I started updating some of the screen caps that I've taken already. I know that Buma had made this long post about how to resize the screen cap to match your sketch/cel but I don't feel like looking for it. Some of them aren't completely perfect because the interlacing made it difficult to get a good image at the right time, but they are very close.

I've only made it through episode 5 and the ones that I've updated were moved to the front of their section in order of appearance. Although, I can't help but feel like I probably missed one or two along the way, but I guess I'll get that sorted out later.

I made my way through ep 6 last night.

I was watching the first DVD of Shinobi, but that is hardly a good reason that it took me 3 hours to get through ep 6.

So a really long time, and 41 screen caps later, I've completed the first dvd of Fruits Basket (well at least I think I have, I could be mistaken).

I didn't realize until last night just how many of my sketches come from that episode. Not all of them will get a screen cap though.

I made one for the Shigure holding his book sketches, but there isn't any more room for another image, so I think I will just keep the sketches as they are.

I posted in the Suggestions part of the RS forum, but do you happen to know if anyone is listening/reading?

Any how, I'll be resizing the screen caps and up dating the sketches in a little bit. Please come take a look! By the way, if I just add an image and don't change any thing else, it doesn't show as an Update, but they're in there.

EDIT: I finished my update for ep 6, and I found another sketch that I missed last night. *sigh* gotta fix the screen cap for the Tohru pan too.

JWR is the only mod on RS who seems to still visit regularly. Unfortunately, he doesn't have admin power--only Jason does, and he doesn't seem to be around all that much.

I'm still waiting for him to manually delete a series for me.

Being a "mod" on my con forum, I know about how much control we actually can exercise. In contrast, the staff for Kawaii Kon mostly all live in a small geographical area, so I know exactly who to talk to if I have a suggestion for our website.

I'm sure that keeping up a site like RS must be equivalent to a full time job, but with out the pay and perks.

I made it through eps 8 and 9 last night (I don't think I have anything from ep 7).

I absolutely love ep 9. I think it's my favorite.

Oh, I know how much a mod can do (though there are levels, but mods are rarely involved in the admin side). Just wanted to let you know that there was someone watching.

I guess this is sort of like an updating blog.

I completed screen caps for episode 10.
Some of the sketches didn't get screen caps because there weren't any more spots and I didn't want to delete any of the sketches.

I found somethings that I wasn't sure which episode they belonged to.
That's the nice thing about spending all this time on the screen caps, there are always a few that I just can't place, and I'm starting to decrease that list. I'm not half way through the series yet, but it feels like I've completed a good chunk of my collection.

I think I've completed the screen caps up through episode 19.

Sketches that have been screen capped, have been rearranged in order of appearance.

The things that show up as being new are ones that were coupled with other sketches when I first added them, but since I had to make room for screen caps, I deleted them from the groups that they were in and added them separately (with their own screen caps).

1 more dvd to go (then I'll know for sure how much I've missed along the way).

Happy New Year!

I've mostly completed the process. Now is the part where I need as much help as I can get.

I've finished making caps and updating all the ones that I could find. Now begins the process of finding the ones that I missed now that the list has gotten significantly smaller.

The ones that I've completed are in order which puts the most recent updates on the very last page. The ones that I didn't find are at the beginning of most sections.

The first 9 in my Yuki section are still unidentified.

This Hana is still unknown, but I think it's ep 6, maybe.

The first 3 in my Tohru section are unidentified.

The first 6 in my Shigure section are unidentified.

The first 8 in my Kyo section are unidentified.

The first 2 in my Hatori section are unidentified.

I was unable to find this set of Momiji and Tohru.

I missed this one of Kyo and Tohru, too.

I thought that the first 2 Akito sketches were from the last ep, but it seems that they aren't. They also aren't from ep 21, so I guess that only leaves ep 8. I'll find it one of these days.

So, how did I miss so many? I guess it's because I was watching Desert Punk and now Beck on the TV while I worked on my laptop with the sound off. Multitasking isn't always the right answer I suppose.

A week later, I've actually located more of my unk's.

I'm still working on ID-ing the following.

The first 1 in my Yuki section is still unidentified.

The first 2 in my Tohru section are unidentified.

I think it is so hard finding the exact screen caps for sketch's but your doing great!!!

I'm really stumped on the Momiji and Tohru set. I can't find a place where she's wearing that outfit AND has her hair in braids. ARRGGHH!
