Cenbe's gallery update: Hyper Police, Please Twins and more

Mostly sketches from Hyper Police and Please Twins, but also a few recent cels from Perfect Blue, Only Yesterday, Metropolis, Armitage III and my first from Kiki's Delivery Service. Plus a new sketch of the Puppet Master from GITS.

I like the please twins sketches. Don't see stuff from that series very much.

Congrats on getting that great lot of Hyper Police gengas from Mandarake. I was itchy-twitchy about bidding on that lot, because it had some really strong images (especially Sakura planning to devour poor Natsuki and complete her seventh fox-spirit tail). In fact, I had it up on my browser as it was counting down, and then decided to pass, mainly as I'm trying to cut down on my sketch acquisitions for a while. But I'm really glad to be able to see it now! It really is a very good batch, with some memorable moments. The Natsuki/Batanan hug is a classic.

Grico: Thanks! I really like Please Twins art too; I guess it is not that popular among most collectors though. There's plenty of art around, but it seems to not be in much demand. I like the style of the show, and the drawing is of good quality too. Plus most of the stuff I have is from complete cuts with timing sheet, so it's fun to see how everything is put together.

because I surely would have lost.

I was very happy to get these drawings; they're just full of personality and attitude, and so skillfully drawn too. My favorite is this portrait of Natsuki - http://cenbe.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv ... mID=231706

Now my next task is to go through and get some screen caps of as many of the drawings as I can.

They used to go for more, but since the sketches have been around for awhile the prices have naturally dropped over time.

One of these days maybe I'll pick up a decent selection from it, but usually I find myself just looking at them and clicking YJ thumbnails.

Thanks very much to everyone who came and looked or took the time to post nice compliments both publicly and privately. I appreciate it a lot! It makes all the time spent scanning and uploading that much more worthwhile to know that there are others who enjoy the same types of artwork!
