...'cause I don't think there'll ever be another time where I'll be adding fifteen cels to my gallery at once XD I think the first words out of my mouth when I opened the package yesterday were "Oh Lord" LOL! Oh, I love this hobby so much...

One was a dream cel, and two were mini-dream cels. Try to guess which ones

Congrats Priss!

Its always nice when you can split auctions with friends and know that if you back off from an auction both are interested in, next time around the same is done for you.
It really makes things easier (and cheaper lol)

You would be right, that IS the dream cel

Though I'll admit I never thought I'd see a cel of Priss feeding the stray bobtail. That was a thrill to get too. It's just so rare to see her with her guard down or being goofy at all.

Now if only I could find the other instance of her sticking out her tongue (ep. 4) I'll be very happy

It's one of 'em. Most I could probably never afford if I did

Still, doesn't hurt to keep looking, 'cause you just never know.

As for dream cels...my cat-grin Priss from ep. 4 was an AWESOME catch. I hadn't been looking for it for very long, and then one day during the weekly update on Anime Ed it showed up, and at a VERY good price. I just squee'd and jumped on it

There's still this one shot from Red Eyes that I'd like to get, it's when Priss is just starting to get up and run towards Typhoon II to get her new suit. Ah, if only I could find that...

Such adorable kitties...

Y'know, every site I've been to always called that cat a manx, but after I showed my b/f the lot in which that cel was in, he said, "No, that's a bobtail. I can tell by the coloring too."

It's still a cute kitty though

Legend

There is a legend in Japan about why the Japanese Bobtail lost its tail. It states that a cat was warming itself too close to a fire, and set its tail on fire. It then ran through the town, burning many buildings to the ground. As punishment, the Emperor decreed that all cats should have their tails cut off.

Bobtails could have also surged after the legend of the bakeneko, or nekomata, a cat that when its tail grew too much, became a double-tail, and the cat would get powers like talking, walking on its back legs, and shapeshifting. The nekomata could cause massive disturbances and even resurrect dead people. Japanese people may have started cutting their cat's tails to avoid them becoming a bakeneko.
