This update has been a long time in the making. I got a good portion of it completed and then decided to upgrade my operating system. If I had known my version of photoshop wouldn't be compatible with the new OS, I would have held off a few days.

Beautiful Miyu updates, besides the opening cel, I like the one of Miyu's mother looking emotional.

Wow that's an awesome update... Those Gunnm cels are ace.

Well slightly off... does anyone know why no one did more with the Battle Angel manga then they have done? It's one of my faves and it's really popular so I'm surprised no one's released anything else anime wise for it.

Those Battle Angel cels are fantastic, with a special nod towards the Gally and Ido cel in particular.

James Cameron owns all the movie and animation rights to Battle Angel because he wants to make a live action movie based off the character and is ...taking ...his ...sweet ...time ...doing ...it. Pray that Avatar actually ends up doing well so that he can finally green light the Gunnm movie - been waiting f-o-r-e-v-e-r for this!

I believe Jennifer Alba was originally tapped to play Alita, but I think she's over the hill now for the part. He'll probably drop the ball like he did with Spider-man.

Ahh that wolud explain it then I knew he was doing a movie, but I didn't know he had all the rights on top of that.

Well to be fair Goldenboy he has done some of the best action flicks of all time the first and best 2 Terminater films and not to mention Aliens and Titanic I guess if that's your kind of thing. If I was going to choose a Hollywood director to make a Battle Angel movie it would be him. But with that said he hasn't done anything great for a while now so he's maybe passed his peak.

Jessica Alba, hot though she is, I have to concur is really pretty past it. Not through age just not being particually good.

My understanding is that the original OVA did not do that well in Japan, relative to the production cost. That was back in the early 90's. Otherwise, I think they would have proceeded with the story. Cameron picked up the rights a little later (1999 or 2000?), which is why all the Gunnm merchandise stopped being produced both in Japan and domestically. I think that is why you see the ADV DVD distribution stopped very shortly after its introduction...... at least that was my understanding of the situation, and what I as told when trying to find Gunnm merchandise in Japan a few years ago.

At least Cameron seems to have a passion for the material. Supposedly production had been pushed back to allow the technology required to make the movie to improve, and to give time for more theaters to install 3D equipment. I do have to admit though, it has been pushed back so much, with other titles pulled forward, that I've begun to wonder if Cameron is losing some of his enthusiasm about about making it.

My thoughts exactly! I hope Avatar is a HUGE success so that he continues down this path. Otherwise, funding and studio interest might be issues.

If you are running x64 Vista, it is possible to get it to work... but it involves much pain and forum reading. It's running on my x64 vista work machine fine now, but I installed it over a year ago, so I don't remember all the steps. Still, there's hope!

Hi Karen. Thanks for the advice, but the problem is a little different for me. I'm running OS X on a mac. Photoshop was REALLY slow to make their code native for the operating system. With the latest OS X upgrade the non-native code no longer works.

What I'm doing now is kind of kludgy, and not giving me results I like, so I think I'll break down and buy another version. It just pains me to pay so much for a program that is included free with many scanners now.
