I started collecting cels from about two months ago and I've finally organized my collection into an online gallery. My gallery is composed of every piece that I've acquired so far and many of them are actually from members on this board! I want to thank everyone from whom I've purchased from, I promise I will take care of your cels
My gallery is small so far, but thanks to the advice that so many of you have given me (especially Sensei) I hope to grow my collection in the near future.
Niiiiiiiiiiiiice CCS cels, especially the waltz cels and that wonderful Meilin/Sakura image. Also a really nice TnN Noelle/Yuusuke (beautiful, beautiful brown eyes! I'll never love blue eyes again! Or maybe I will anyhow.)
But I think my favorite is this moody Kurogane close-up:
Thanks everyone! My gallery is mainly composed of pieces that were being offered in many galleries right now. I was really lucky that many of my offers were accepted.
I'm just starting to venture into the Japanese auction territory and have made my Rinkya account this past Monday!
Oh, and my puppy's name is Levi! He's a 6 month old Welsh Corgi!
The font that was used in my banner is called freebooter script. I hope that helps
Also, I was wondering...what is the average wait time when you are bidding on a Japanese auction for the item to arrive in the deputy's warehouse?
I know the times usually vary depending on the seller, but I'd like to have some idea of how long it would usually take for the item to arrive at the deputy's warehouse! Bidding on YJ is pretty exciting stuff for a new collector

The average time is about two weeks, sometimes less, sometimes more. I've experienced things where the same seller will either ship quickly or will wait several weeks. But, I think this depends on whether the seller owns the item or if the seller is placing the auction on behalf of a client.
It often varies with the seller. Some sellers ship their sold lots the day after the sale, and I've had in hand some items two weeks after I won them. But the normal scenario is that the lot ships to the Japanside facility a week after the sale (because many sellers sell on a Monday (Sunday morning here) and ship on the weekend. Then (with SMJ) it would go almost immediately "to USA" in the batch shipment to Nick's warehouse in the Chicago area. It then would show up as "Received US" five or six days later. If I put a shipping order in immediately, depending on how busy Nick was, I'd get it 4-8 days later.
Total, about three weeks. Actually, since I wait until I have six lots to ship, it might take much longer, if I win something just after I'd put in a shipping order. It might be ready to ship in 2 weeks, but in reality I won't ask for it to be sent to me for at least 3 weeks more.
I don't know how fast Rinkya works these days, but the few times I used it years ago, it seemed much slower. Anicyo also can be interminably slow, depending on what else is going on in Stephen's life.
Patience is a good virtue to cultivate. Just keep good records on what you've won and how much you've spent.
