You might post up a query on the RS forum to see how widespread this is. I ran over to my gallery and clicked on a few of the corridors, but didn't spot any problems. /wah

But unless I'm mistaken I did once have a cel somehow gravitate from one corridor to another without my moving it. So poop does happen.

I have all my scans saved on a CD just in case. :emb

You might email Jason for I know he has been trasfering stuff from one server to another hosting server. Hopefully he can fix/recover any images that might have glitched.

I was wondering what series all those sketches that suddenly showed up in my Itoya last night belonged to. /?: Thank, BD, I'll go check it out.

:joke

I do hope Jason can make things right. It seemingly takes forever for me to get a sketch set ready to upload, and so I'm aware that it's no joke for you.

I did run across a gallery the other day while browsing RS that had NO images available (the owner only had about 10 cels). I just chalked it up to someone not knowing how to use RS, but I guess this could be an alternate explanation.

its kinda good timing b/c i have about two more weeks of vacation left so i needed something to do.

I got scared there for a minute and clicked open another tab as quick as I could because I'm in the process of re-making thumbnails for equal size and non-blurriness! I am notorious for keeping backlog of scaled down scans and NOT the thumbnails! lol

I am now breathing a sigh of relief... everything is still there.

Sorry those images can't be recovered.

Just a tip I have found out scanning sketches is to use a dark background cover (I use a black posterboard piece) instead od just closing the scanner top that has a white background. Using the dark background makes the sketch image stand out better while in my experience using just the scanner cover tends to "bleach" them out.

Heres a couple of examples.

These pencils from Chobits were scanned with just the scanner white top and need to be one day rescanned.

While simular pencil sketches from Shakugan no Shana show more defination and scanned more clearly using a dark background.

I'll try that too. My new Canoscan is quick and very good on detail, but I always have to fool with sketch images to get them back to what they actually look like to the naked eye.

Never any catastrophe but that there isn't at least one rainbow.
