The Update Thread ( as of 3-26-10 ) IY, Kannadu, RR...

Post by Maiko »

Current Update 3-26-10

Falling farther and farther behind on updates. Pile of stuff to scan is soooo intimidating. Recent threads on Warner Bros. art and "it's all in the details" kinda inspired me to get my butt in gear. Updated with a couple of wishlist items and several new pieces on original backgrounds. Updated and/or created the following sections:

Road Rovers
Inu Yasha OP/ED
Inu Yasha Commercial
Kannaduki no Miko

Previous updates:

Back from a long hiatus. I have well over 200 items to add, so I'm trying to take it slow and update little bits at a time. So instead of constantly spamming you all with new update threads for each new little update, I'll keep this one running, and add to it when I post a new update. I'll continuously change the ( as of ) dates to reflect when new things were added.

So far I have updated the following sections:

Inu Yasha
Jubei-Chan
Wolf's Rain ( both sections )
Juuni Kokuki/12 Kingdoms
Violinist of Hameln TV
and Road Rovers

Now officially de-lurking :)

Welcome back, Maiko. Thanks for providing good commentary on your collection and helping those of us who are not familiar with the series or the specific moment put these images in context.

I especially like the attention you gave the "Kiba's Last Stand" series. These are really detailed and well sketched, even at the layout stage, and your animation

http://gion.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_ ... mID=295385 is a very effective way to show how they fit together.

Looking forward to the rest of the 200...

Welcome back, Maiko. It's nice to see you posting here again.

I have to say I cringed when I read the info on your IY and Kagome dream cel. That is one of the nightmares for a collector. I don't know what I would have done in that situation.

I love the additions to Juuni Kokuki.

It's great looking through your gallery. I see several sequence mates to mine.

Look forward to seeing the rest of your additions.

Thank you so very much, I appreciate that. Those cels are so difficult to find, so my collection has been growing so slowly it's aggravating. If I had my way, it would be one of the biggest sections in my gallery, but alas, cels from that series aren't exactly rolling off the assembly line. The only good thing is that when one does show up, these days there is a lot less competition, because I think the majority of it's collector's have long given up.

Love the new Violinist of Hameln additions!
:drool :drool
Its always nice to see anything from that show pop up
its so hard to find-- especially the A grades like you have!
You have a gorgeous collection of VH! I can
only imagine how long and hard you had to search
to find them, they are so scarce!

Of course the IY are always a pleasure to browse

Thank you, Shampoo, I really take that as a compliment and I sincerely appreciate it. I certainly wish quality VOH cels were a little easier to come by, whereas on the flipsde, it would take a little away from the joy of finding a good one after a long dry spell. Nothing quite beats that feeling ^_~x
