Has anyone else recently looked at the hits on your individual cels lately (at RS)?
When you go to your main page (where you can edit anything on your site) and you look under "Administrative" > "popular item listing" the post count is funny.
lately ive been getting hits on some things ive hidden and its wierd like one item will be one number, then the consecuative ones will be only one number below that.... then two items have the exact same numberâ€¦ wierd.

idunno maybe im just going crazy (its been a rough week and its only MONDAY

).

can someone else look at their hit count and see if its happening to you too?

Mine are the same.

I've been wondering this for awhile. Someone can't click the URL of hidden items even when they know the exact URL and try to see it that way? Rubberslug pictures from closed galleries show up on Google images I know that much.

Yep, you can. I favorited links to cels that are hidden/have been sold (before the fact), so I can still see them in the first gallery I found them in. I've also manually entered urls guessing what the item number is.

Bell - as for hit counts, that doesn't seem too weird.

For your hidden items, have you ever posted the link to show off an item or post it for sale? If the link is still in posts, people can still access the item that way.

I'll echo syan. Yes, even hidden items aren't really hidden if someone has their url. Think about it like saving an ebay or YJ link. It's basically the same.

One of the things you can do is delete the link and then re-add it. That will assign it a completely different item number. Unless you show that cel off again, your hit counter shouldn't go up anymore. I've done this to several items so I know it works.

The same goes with closing your gallery. It's still open to all who know your gallery link.
