Hey all

New member here, just wanted to say hello. Started collecting 9 years back for a couple years before taking a ~7 year hiatus and now back in the cel collecting game.

I'm mainly into Ranma cels since it was the first manga ever introduced to me. I still remember reading it at my friend's house for the first time and just cracking up all night long. So I'll always have a fond spot for the series.

My cel gallery is at rubberslug. My fave characters to collect are Ukyo, Nabiki, and Ryoga. Hope you enjoy looking through my collection.

Ranma was the series that really got me into anime too. And I have the same favorite characters. ^__^

Coming back into collecting after a long break can be dangerous!! Once you let yourself start seriously looking again you want to buy EVERYTHING, haha.

Ayanami Rei is a wonderful and glorious character, but I do agree that Asuka deserves the same recognition for her feisty and sexy nature. You have a gorgeous cel of her She really had no shame when she place her hands on her breast

Who doesn't love Ghibli?!? Shame that they're so pricey so I have to limit myself to one per movie. Will keep an eye out for a nice Mononoke Hime one to complete my "Ghibli trilogy" and call it a day there hehe.

Haha it's too late, I've already been rather impulsive in the last couple weeks. Luckily I haven't broken the bank or anything and I think I've had a better eye the second time around so I haven't bought anything I'm going to regret...yet. =)

Hehe yeah I wrote that about Asuka back in the day because I couldn't understand why Rei cels were 2-3 times the price. It seems like that's still the case today, although I think I remember reading somewhere that Asuka was ranked 3rd best anime female in the last 20 years or something...

I'm partial to your Marmalade Boy cels. I can't tell for sure about Anju, but it looks very much like Jinny has her original background.

Hang on to those backgrounds. Toei didn't often concern itself with keeping backgrounds and cels matched when photography was through, at least not with this series.

Many times the backgrounds are works of art in their own right.

Like most of their other series, Marmalade Boy sort of stand in the shadow of Toei's more famous works like Dragon Ball and Sailor Moon. I think MB has some excellent moments, and to me it represents the archetype of 90's shoujo anime/manga.
