From 2nd to 23rd September, discover 7 of the 40 frames from THE ART OF ANIME exhibition in a summery and relaxed atmosphere at the MONDES BOHEMES.

Paris harbours numerous places that have been a source of inspiration for artistic movements such as "Le Procope" in the 17th century or" Bateau Lavoir" in the 19th century. A new forum for expression is gradually becoming a reference in this highly creative quarter that has witnessed the raise of urban culture. Artists from the 21st century today have a stage, a place to be: LES MONDES BOHEMES.

All 336 toasts, Margarita cocktails, and soft drinks were gone in 3 hours.
A guest jazz pianist enjoyed playing City Hunter romantic themes.



So far 9000 free visitors that enjoyed THE ART OF ANIME cultural exhibition.

Congratulations! I hope that such exhibitions will become more common in this country as well. (I saw a formal exhibition of original art for children's books at a university library recently and was struck by how many of these were done on acetate sheets just like hankens and cels.)

Honored by your note. Northern America is definitively the art market reference place.
By promoting anime art as a true form of comic art, I'm sure that some National Museums will progressively include anime in their collections.
Gradually working in our good old Europe where France is the second manga market, Northern America will definitively follow.

Long time no see, so many works running, here are latest breaking news:

The 5000 sq ft project passes through the decision board in June, estimated time for delivery: Q4 2014... Stay tuned. After project purposal in October 2012, THE ART OF ANIME cultural project had been consider as "serious" by the mayor office culture commission and the "all inclusive" aspect as a strong lever. Project is now "in the production line" of the concerned town to receive a firm date of exhibition in the 2014 season. Another large exhibition under discussion for Q2 2014.


In addition:

- THE ART OF ANIME raised 10K visitors.
- Over 200 expertises were done in auction fine anime art.
- Alzheimer project runs fine with the infant school to visit the hospital (note that hospital residency disable persons do prefer KIKI to TOTORO )
- Exclusive interview with Hara Tetsuo, author of Hokuto No Ken.
- A coming charity auction for the Paris lawyer bar to raise funds in order to provide free legal support to unwealthy persons.

Concercing current running events:

- Summer exhibition from 8th to 27th July - Opening party starring KAO=S rock band, mixing modern and traditionnal instruments.

Amazing as ever, Benoit. I wish I could've made a visit, but it's a bit too far from home. Therefore I do appreciate the pictures you've shared here.
In my country (the Netherlands) there currently is an exposition about manga art which includes a section about production art of the recent movie Wolf Children (Hosoda's latest movie).

As announced last year, large exhibition project enterting into production process...

400m² (4000ft²), more than 100 original artworks, free. A dream? That's for real, THE ART OF ANIME reality!
When? Soon, but you've to be a bit patient because such exhibition size requires time to organize it. Where? In a city cultural place amazing location!
For whom? Kids, lots of kids, visiting the exhibition during their class time with their professors. Parents that will visit during the week or weekends.
Young people, old people, less young people, less old people. Pleasure for eveyone in a tour on the opposite side of the mirror, an historical event !

10th May 2014, the head of city cultural center transmitted a copy of the Mayor official approval for the 4000ft² exhibition!!
The exhibition has to be scheduled soon with the city representatives on the 2014-2015 cultural season.

Exhibition will be located in France close to Paris, free entrance, 5 opening weeks, 2000 scholars workshops. An extended display of 2000ft² is under discussion.

SCHEDULE CONFIRMED
Schedule now confirmed, exhibition will take place during five weeks on May-June 2015. 5 months to go, about 1500 fans and 200 people (and growing) willing to join the exhibition.

ADDITIONNAL INFORMATION
- FREE ENTRANCE!!
- Surface is raised up to 6.000ft² separated into 4.000ft² of anime history and 2.000ft² of contemporary anime art.
- Location able to host up to 72.000 visitors (maximum allowed for safety reasons) on all the opening period.
- Location is extremely close to Paris in France and direct with a dedicated subway station.
- 1500 schoolars (about 40-50 class) + 2 dedicated city educators will join workshops.
- A comic explaining the art of anime to be printed and offered to every schoolar.
- A grand opening party with hundreds of guests and a live band playing anime BGMs classics (Yuji Ohno,...).
- Disable persons access (even with motorised wheelchairs).
- Press specials.
