I stumbled into cel collecting through my favorite show, Gundam Wing.
I've decided to stick only with that show in hopes of not spending too much money.
But in fact spent my Japan travel budget this year on Cels instead! ^///^
It's very exciting to own a little piece of history. Also, very excited to be a part of Anime-Beta.

Great gallery! I never fully watched Gundam Wing but I immediately recognize the characters due to their iconic status in the anime industry! Your layout is absolutely fantastic, it has the 80s/90s atmospheric energy to it, it really represents the era of your collection.

Welcome to Anime-Beta! Your gallery takes me back over a decade, to a time when my daughter (now all grown up and saving Connecticut) was having a high-school infatuation with Duo Maxwell. I agreed to get her some GW posters on eBay, and the seller wouldn't ship them to me unless I registered with some new service called PayPal. I did, and then the seller stiffed me (I'd guess because GW all of a sudden went viral and he knew he could get a lot more for the posters than I'd won them for). Anyhow, I sat and watched a bunch of them with her, and was impressed enough that I figured this new-fangled Anna Mae might be worth investigating further.........

I like your stern Quatre/Heero combo in the elevator as well as the more genial one of him in his mecha saluting someone or something. Quatre was always my favorite of the bunch, and indeed a nice pen sketch of him playing the violin that my daughter did still is stuck to the side of our refrigerator, fully 13 years and a big house move later.

Anyhow, welcome to a bunch of congenial souls. Enjoy the company and let us know as your collection grows.

I think I said this in my first email to you through RS, but it's wonderful to see another Gundam Wing fan around again . (I know you sent me an email the other day, I've just been so bloody busy, I haven't had the chance to read it >_< -- I promise, I'm not ignoring you! ).

You didn't win some of that last round of GW cels that were on YJ, did you? I was a complete idiot and missed the couple that I really wanted to bid on (the pan cel of the mechs with the background, the Relena from episode 48 I think.... *cry* oh well!). If you won some, I'll be looking forward to seeing them in your gallery. I just got a shipment of GW cels in from my deputy, myself, and have been meaning to scan them in. Maybe today will be scan day ... must... finish... work... before... scanning.

I'll be sure to watch your gallery for updates! Can't wait to see what you have sitting at Rinkya .

And yes, I adore Gackt. My gackt collection is obscene ^///^ I've actually flown to Japan each year to see him in concert. But I didn't like YFC idea this year and no Gakuen concerts so I didn't go. He's coming to the USA to tour in March!!!

I remember being in high school and this being my one obsession...wait it still is! OTZ But really, it's good you didn't let one seller get you down! My very first ebay purchase was a Sailor Moon costume that never came.
Quatre is one of my favorites. I have the most cels of him because he is so very expressive. I think he goes through the most character growth in the series.

That is awesome! I wish I went to Ayumi Hamasaki's concert when I was in Japan but didn't had the funds lol Gackt is an artistic performer, he really puts a lot of soul and heart for his Dears, I respect that I'm planning to see Laruka next year, I adore Hyde's chemistry with Gackt in their feature film, Moon Child

I had been thinking of bidding on it, but I'm usually not a fan of those two together, so I wouldn't have made for much competition for you . And then, of course, I totally forgot to bid, so ... yeah. >_< The Epyon/Deathscythe IS cool, but I can't stomach the price on it, myself -- but if you win it.. I will DEFINITELY visit it in your gallery .

I'm just really kicking myself over that pan cel with all the gundams .... UGH, that one kills me to have missed it.

There was a Heero/Duo cel?!?!??!?! NOoooooo, I must have missed it !!! I didn't even see one. I totally would have broken the bank to grab it if I had. I got a pan of Duo and one of Heero piloting though... *obsessively starts checking Y!Japan from now on*

Gundam Wing was close to my first anime. Really I started out on Sailor Moon and CCS so long ago.
