New Section for Eyecatch- one more added

Post by JWR »

I was quite lucky to find and get a few nice eyecatch sketches from the series Dual Parallel Trouble Adventure which adds to the previous eyecatch cel I had in my Misc section so it makes a good chance to set up a new section.
For those interested you find the new section at this link.

Those eyecatch are fabulous! I had been considering several eyecatch from one of the main series I collect
but they were just to costly for me at the time, now after seeing yours I kinda regret passing, again, they are
quite nice, Thanks for sharing! :cheers

Thanks Keropi, Teggacat,

I guess there is always a chance that some nice items one missed out on years back may well resurface like these just did most likely 10+ years after they were 1st sold. I would guess that a combination of the economy as well as maybe people become bored with collecting cels and choose to move on to other things is seeing some nice items pop up for sale.

Congratulations! It's interesting that some series have fairly complex eyecatches, and others just still images. All are remarkably scarce! Your Dual sketches are pretty regardless of how they fit in.

Thank you Sensei, Yes I have seen quite a lot of different types of Eyecatch cels/sketches from the "mini animated shorts" like was used in season 2 & 3 of Ranma 1/2 to the single image "glamor shot" which is what I was able to get this last few weeks off YJ that I just updated with.

After a hard fought auction battle I was able to get one more nice one.

Fantastic win! I really like how dynamic it is, and the expressions on the characters' faces are great. Congrats on another wonderful win!

Thanks Tex-chan

One of the things I liked about the series Dual is that the same group that did the Tenchi OVA worked on it and these images are up there with a lot of the Hankens produced for Tenchi & Pretty Sami.

It is an image or short animation used right before and after a commercial break before resuming the show. This show Dual Parrallel Trouble Adventure used single images where shows like Ranma 1/2 had short skit animation.
