Hi All,

I thought about repurposing last year's thread but I figured that I should start a new one in celebration!

The new site is basically finished, I have all my galleries up except for the Onesie/Twosie Gallery. Which include Tako and my one cut of Pokémon. Also any new stuff is obviously not up yet as I slowly slog through the Pile of Shame I figured I would debut the new gallery and highlight some of my recent acquisitions that I did not post to last year's update thread!

Thanks @lunacels!! There were many more additions to my collection other than the ones listed since my last huge Beta update in October I think but I think listing three months of updates are impractical ^_^ I had to highlight the Saturn cause she is so perfect!

I see you've been busy as well! ^_^;; I do know generally if I want something and it goes really high, I'm usually up against you lol! Maybe we can both save a little money this year! Since you have a budget and all, and I will try to keep mine but... It never works out

Ha! I know what you mean though...I've been bowing out of more and more auctions because the bids have shown no signs of stopping, but I had one or two that I went big for. I hope that wasn't you on the other side of the Haruka bidwar...I swear the 2 h extension almost ran out! I was determined but I always feel badly knowing I'm on someone else's toes.

I have been busy appreciating your other 4th quarter additions. There are some really lovely pieces! Very nice SuperS Chibimoon too, btw!

@lunacels Haha - Nope I don't really go after Haruka or Michiru unless it is for a gift. Mostly just Jupiter/Makoto and I'm pickier about Chibi-usa, Moon, and Saturn. Cause they are generally VERY pricey of the scenes I would be interested in, so I have to be. I'm pretty well set on my Chibi-usas there are like one or two that I could totes add but I'm pretty happy with what I have for right now, I mean of course if a Small Lady showed up for a reasonable price I would need to stop myself pretty hard core.

@nowehrekid85 - Heehee thanks! I was super enamored of that set up too! IT also came with the studio envelope which the cut traveled around in! The only thing missing is the BG! ^_^ Plus we already spoke about the hotness that is Byakuya.... *wants to mess his hair*

Very interesting additions, and an enticing new format in your new website. I enjoyed the new CCS additions, as usual (intense Touya!), and was happy that you gave the new Tennimon sketch sets the attention they deserve, as the animation behind the scenes is fully as interesting as the cels are visually attractive.

A couple of hints here: there is a "Missing Step" in Tennimon, as all of the episode numbers on production materials from Ep. 12 on are +1 from the actual released series. I don't know exactly where this episode was to be placed, but as art from Step 7 was correctly numbered, and Step 11 runs directly into Step 12, then the Missing Step must have been intended to fit into the run between 7 and 11. That's all I can infer: I've never seen any art that I could identify from this "mystery episode."

And the animation director for Step 24 is properly transliterated "Takeyuki Yanase" as I determined after a long back-and-forth search in Japanese and English. ANN makes quite a mess of this matter, listing the artist's credits under three different transliterations. But searching under the kanji turns them all up in one place on Japanese websites (and also turns up the artist's personal website). Yanase has quite a resume, including serving as animation director for the concluding ep. of Gravitation. (He also did Hyper Police Ep. 19, one of my visually favorite episodes.)

You might also say more directly that Tennimon Step 12 was subcontracted by Pierrot to Kyoto Animation, which later became a dominant studio with Kanon, Air, Haruhi Suzumiya, etc. But people who know Kazumi Ikeda (Character Designer, Chief Animation Director, Clannad) will pick this up.

@Sensei - I appreciate you lending your Tennimon knowledge, I will make those edits to the Tennimon Gallery when I get a chance, I have no new sketches to add to that gallery, but a ton of cels that need to be scanned, IDed, and Organized hopefully sooner rather than later... But knowing me ^_^;;

@KinoLRB - Thanks I do love me some smarmy/confident Mustang he's so very pretty! ^_^ LOL well maybe I will get to those Pokemon additions oddly enough it was a sketch set from a cel episode from Johto I think, and I was also in a separate auction able to obtain one of the cels that goes with the set... So weird... It's hard to get motivated to post one thing from one series when I have a stack of like 20 sketch sets from other series... And while I love wobbuffet... Bishies generally rule my world.

LOL @gonzai thanks... It did get weird but they had no more manga to work off of and Yun Kouga still isn't finished with it... They left it open if Kouga-sensei ever finishes, but It just keeps getting darker and darker and there seems to be no way this will end well. Which would be weird because she usually writes the happy endings :/

Been quiet on Beta lately! I've been working on this Tennimon update for like ever! It's all cels that I've bought in the last six months most of them in giant lots some individually.
