Another awesome update! First Woody Woodpecker cel

Post by star-phoenix »

I have been so fortunate to actually find an original 1941 Woody Woodpecker cel from the very first Woody Woodpecker episode. This is the only surviving cel I had been able to find from this episode! not only that, it was signed by the original animator of this scene, Fred Rice, one of the senior animators that worked for Walter Lantz studios at the time!! Best part is, it is in amazing condition!!

Awesome find! It's always pleasing to know that someone, somewhere held onto at least one piece of animation history!
