Hi everyone,

Since rubberslug still isn't allowing new accounts, I went and made my own website to host my stuff:

Lots and lots of Evangelion cels! I have other cels too but I'm absolutely exhausted from setting everything up. I'll get around to those and the Naruto genga/douga. The majority of my stuff now is Eva anyways.

It's still under construction and I have a ways to go. But it's in a state where I don't feel embarrassed to show it to people.

I would absolutely love love love any and all feedback. It's my first gallery.

Did you like the set up?
Is it easy to navigate?
Were you expecting more information?
For the cels that I stitched together the storyboard for, did you enjoy having that supporting material?

Stuff like that so I can understand what people like to see and how I can make it more enjoyable

EDIT: also I'm aware of issues displaying in IE, as well as mobile being funky. I'll take a look at that eventually but the other browsers work fine.

Thanks that's a sigh of relief. I can't tell you how much time I spent scratching my head at Wordpress doing something I had no intention of doing. Or wondering if the layout only made sense to me. The only Kenshin I currently have is a cute one of Kaoru but I will get it up there someday

Ugh no. But my claim to fame is that, for a brief millisecond, I was the highest bidder. Lol!

Later that same day is when I got Asuka bleeding out her eye from EoE and Asuka getting choked at the end of EoE and I don't think I could've gotten that Misato scene and those as well. So in retrospect I'm kind of glad I didn't pursue it to its end

I'm guessing it would be douga since the cut number isn't circled and is put off into the corner. Sellers says that its hard to say since both Eva dougas and gengas use blue lines.

I couldn't do that price for a douga, but if it works for you.

Oh boy, now you’ve done it. You made me break out the Groundworks of Evangelion books. I knew I got them for a reason besides to read once and store in a closet forever.

No it’s douga. There’s a couple pieces of genga for that entire sequence and they only sketch out 6 different places and they’re labeled A1 through A6 and then partials of the body B1 B2 and B3. That also covers the entire sequence all the way through her head falling completely off. Eva genga will never ever go up to 28 sketches for a sequence and it has the labels literally wherever they felt like it.

100% douga that started yellowing from being stored in a bad condition and yea, I agree, I love Eva but wouldn’t shell out that kinda money for douga, especially in that condition. Unless maybe it matched one of my cels I’m missing douga for but even then only some key ones. I think that’s just the big giant naked rei markup at work. I bought my big giant naked rei cel from him for a big chunk of change (although I don’t regret it at all)

And now I’m going to keep these books in the bathroom to replace the safety information on my shampoo bottle

It reads right to left (or up to down in this case) and starts at the second image second page (i included the first one on accident but it's labeled with a different cut and from a scene prior)

That Asuka one is douga too. In fact it’s the douga for the frame right after my episode 17 Asuka

I hope the gif is very eye-catching!

For those who see it, do you like the gif on the collection homepage? I was planning to make all of the collections into gifs and have them all on the Naruto homepage. Kind of like how the Evangelion collection is set up but with gifs instead. And then you can click into the link for the pieces and stuff.

Improvements or thoughts? Easy to navigate and did you enjoy it?

I’ll try to make the gif match the time sheet speed later if gimp will cooperate

Perfect that's exactly that feedback I was looking for. I will definitely get a bigger version in the gallery itself for each of them. Good thing I saved the xcf files every step of the way lol. I worry about image size for load times so I keep the main hubs small

I put up part of one of the Tsunade sets I have (still need to get genga and stuff in there). This time the gif was synced to the timesheet and in the normal 24 frames per second. I think it looks pretty good. Very labor intensive to edit that all though.

But I think in the end the gifs will attract a lot of people to take a look so I'm going to stick with them. I will not be faltered!

I also updated the Eva gallery with 2 additional cels (Hikari and Unit 02 in EoE). I have 1 on the way, another big naked Rei but with her wings in the scene where her neck gets cut. Maybe within a week that'll be up.

I'll be switching between the Naruto sets and getting the Eva storyboards stitched together moving forward, but focusing on the cels themselves and then naruto genga updates in terms of priority.

I also have a lot of Eva merch (old magazines and posters, comics etc) that I want to get up along with cels from other series but those will go up probably very last

I don't know how it works with the website platform you're using, but for modern web development, I like using HTML 5 videos and loop that. Videos are lighter than gifs.

Your EVA dedication amazes me. Thanks for putting in all that work. It almost makes me content not owning any EVA materials.

That's interesting, I'll definitely take a look. I had a friend recommend that as well. I am able to get the gifs <1MB each though so I'm okay with them for now but as I add more I'll reevaluate. I'll look up how to make those in the meantime

For Eva stuff I'm almost tapped out. Unless I can get something that I think is absolutely stunning I'm sticking with my wishlist for the short term. I do have some cool stuff like the red cross book and other old magazines and I was able to get my hands on one of the September 2007 Rolling Stones issue that had Rei on the front

Not to mention stitching story boards and genga and getting other supporting materials on there... a lot of work. But it makes me happy that there's at least one person looking at it lol thank you

I fixed the Kakashi to add a larger one on the page, updated the Tsunade page, and added the Sakura set page. I am hoping to get 1 set done per day but who knows how long I can go with that

Well the good news is that I just got it over with and scanned everything I currently have. I also picked up 3 Eva cels off my wishlist, and some more really cool Naruto stuff is on the way, what a week!

The bad news is that there's hundreds and hundreds of pages of Naruto genga/douga to edit and everything, and on top of that I have to devote all my free time to something career-related for a bit.

I was able to sneak in some quick updates

I updated the home page with some awesome gifs as well as my Faye Valentine with its background. Also added a couple more Evangelion cels that were picked up
