10/25 new updates added

Post by JWR »

I was finally able to set aside some time to finally be able to update some of our purchases over the year. (last update was last Feb)

These will all be links to my RS gallery due to ongoing problems with photobucket and never having the time to reupload to another sharing site.

1st will be a couple from 3x3 Eyes

http://ryan.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_ ... mID=436882

Then I was able to pickup a nice Hanken from AMG
http://ryan.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_ ... mID=436885

On the non anime pieces we were able to get another lithograph from our favorite artist Tetsuro Sawada titled Red Space
http://ryan.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_ ... mID=436884

A cute original piece from comic artist Bob McKeone "March of the Porgs"
http://ryan.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_ ... mID=436886

And finally a 2 piece sketch set from Shaenon Garrity for a wallpaper titled 'Balcony Cats"
http://ryan.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_ ... mID=436895
http://ryan.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_ ... mID=436894

I do hope this year allows us all a chance to get back to normal soon.

Ah nice! I always wanted a nice cel from 3X3 Eyes, but never got one.

It's always good when you can see where your hanken artwork was used.

Thanks Keropi.

Yes a lot of the older series like 3X3 Eyes are quite scarce so to find any nice ones is a happy moment.

05/24 updated

To start off was able to pickup a nice early long haired Akane from the early episodes of Ranma 1/2
http://ryan.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_ ... mID=439659

Then I was able to get 4 different Rilezu from the 2nd season of Sister Princess RePure
http://ryan.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_ ... mID=439655
http://ryan.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_ ... mID=439656
http://ryan.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_ ... mID=439657
http://ryan.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_ ... mID=439658

Then to complete my cel additions I came across this Nadesico Movie cel that "forced" me to set my personal record I have paid for a non Hanken cel
http://ryan.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_ ... mID=439661

On the non cel front I did get another lithograph from Kou Fumazuki of the manga version of Aoi from Ai Yori Aoshi
http://ryan.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_ ... mID=439660

Finally my friend John Mederios Jr had asked me to provide him a series of cat photos to use as reference for a series of illustrations for an upcoming book he was commisioned for. One was of a photo of Moose who we lost a couple of years ago. John used that picture in one of his sketches and then sent me the original sketch.

Maria & I hope all in our AB group are doing well and we are happy to hear that several anime cons are being added back in for later this year.

Nice stuff!

I'm surprised you can still find long hair Akane's around.

The Sister Princess Rilezu has nice coloring.

What a coincidence, I was thinking about Nadesico the other day. It was mentioned in a web novel I was reading. The main character went back many years to the past back when he was in High School. It didn't say what year it was but author said that there were a lot of promotional Evangelion and Nadesico items out in public (author changed the franchise title names somewhat). The problem was that the author also said that Instagram was popular at the time so the timelines don't match.

Thanks Keropi,

Every so often a nice Long Haired Akane shows up.

Ok time to do an update of our latest items we have procured since our last update.

1st off we were able to find a nice Hanken from an older OVA of the Irresponsible Captain Tylor
http://ryan.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_ ... mID=442132

Next we found a few original penciled character model sheets from The World of Narue
http://ryan.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_ ... mID=442134
http://ryan.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_ ... mID=442135
http://ryan.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_ ... mID=442136
http://ryan.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_ ... mID=442137

And finally when a Beta Member Animechaos had an offer period we could not pass up to chance to add these from RE-Zero
http://ryan.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_ ... mID=442138
http://ryan.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_ ... mID=442139
http://ryan.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_ ... mID=442140
http://ryan.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_ ... mID=442141

I hope that all continue to be safe and healthy in these times. - JWR

Pretty cool update!

I'm surprised you were able to get the Narue original model sheets. That must have been an uncommon thing to appear.
