Well, the only reason I've been there (and am even going) is because I have family in San Francisco. Of course, I'm going to be out there during Otakon which is the closest con to me. I'm so sad I can't make Anime Expo this year. I'd hop over to the RS gathering (I actually do have an account there!) just to see everyone.
Alas I'm going to be getting rid of (ooo, did I say that? bad Kay!) um celebrating one of my co-workers' retirement after 32 years (and not a moment too soon...if we hear "I'm retiring you know" one more time we all will explode) And since I'm her supervisor I am kind of reluctantly in charge.
So between that and having egregiously overspent on cels I just can't swing it.
I'll be thinking of you all enjoying yourselves Hoping you're buying lots of neat stuff. and not saying anything too horrible about me while I'm not there.
