I really wish I could attend this year, since I've missed the last two years. But I might be hiking in Japan, so I suppose I cannot complain (too much).

Well since I live here in the LA area my wife & I will be there at least for the Saturday & Sunday since my changing of places of employment reset my vacation time to Zero till I complete my 1st year.

At this time it looks like I will be able to set up the Slugfest for the Friday July 3rd at the same place it was last year.

Once it gets closer I'll start a thread to get a head count as well as finalize the plans.

I'm passing this year as well. I'll be completely recovered from my surgery by then but I might be in the mist of a 20 year high school reunion. (They still haven't given me the dates yet.

)

BTW, I have no idea who that guest is.

Sounds like a lot of people will be missing out this year.
Not sure if it is because of the economy, or that the venue
sucks so bad.

I'm already going to two, and both call for flights, so it's a no-go once again for me. I think I'll just give up trying to ever go to this con.

DT, you don't know how true that could be.

I've been to AX for 5 years in a row, so I'm going to sit this year out. I plan on going to at least one if not two other cons instead. Plus, I agree with Jenn.....there's a lot to be desired about this location.

*Thinking of other possibilities....since I will be home on the 4th of July, maybe I'll go watch the fireworks over Lake Tahoe.*

I'd love to attend the gathering and see everyone again, but I'll be in Japan for three weeks around that time participating in a Japanese school exchange with my daughters school. Of course, I'll be hitting the usual places in Nakano and Akihabara

On a side note, anyone know how to get any decent studio tours? I'd love to get one of Madhouse or Kyo-ani.

Wow, it sounds like the cel dealers will be wondering what happened to their customers.

I have no guarantees that I will make it this year, at this time I don't even know where I'll be next month, so it's hard to make plans for anything.

Hi guys~

I won't be attending this year... I'll be on vacation in Chicago.

I guess you guys won't see me in the long lines awaiting autographs or at 5am in the mornings for last minute autographs/sketches. Have fun and wear sunscreen.

It will be a little sad for me since I've been going for the past 7 years...
