Yotsuba &!
Yotsuba &!
So, are you reading this or is something wrong with you?
For those who may not be familiar with it, this is by Kyohiko Azuma, the
creator of Azumanga Daioh.
The official solicitation:
Little Yotsuba, a green-haired and wide-eyed girl, doesn't have a clue... about
anything! With no knowledge of the world around her, and an unnatural
fear of air conditioners, Yotsuba has her new neighbors' heads spinning.
Join the hilarious exploits of an out-of-this-world schoolgirl as her
befuddled friends attempt to uncover the secrets behind this strange child
in Yotsuba&!
It's really a great manga. Amazing how hilarious it can be as he seems to
nail the expressions so well in so many scenes...you can't help but laugh.

Yes! (Now how many issues am I behind, I wonder pointlessly to myself.)
This was without a doubt the best freebie I've ever picked up at a conference. (Volume 1 of a whole bunch 'o stuff was being given out at one of the booths at the ALA conference last summer). The first volume was one of the most adorable things I have EVER seen. Highly recommended to absolutely anyone, no matter what your usual tastes are.

Why now? Around 100.
The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

I totally agree. Yotsuba& has something for everybody. It's really cute without being saccharine sweet. I've heard somewhere along the way that it is already in agreement for a TV anime production as well.Baakay wrote:Highly recommended to absolutely anyone, no matter what your usual tastes are.

Wouldn't it be great if partway through the series the storyline takes a dark turn? Something that will just mess up your mind?rallihir wrote:I totally agree. Yotsuba& has something for everybody. Oh I know... it was the excitement of having Jen and EJ talk to you on messenger last night. Something special about having a 7 year old tell you to shut up...
Sorry... back to Yotsuba. I wonder if I can find it around this godforsaken, er, I mean lovely town.
