Deathnote was great. You'll like it if you want to read about a battle...of wits and strategy. 12 volumes long or you could watch the anime!

A friend from work is letting me borrow his Negima! mangas. Once you get past the fan service there is a pretty decent storyline going on. :P

I've finished quite a few series this year, but there are always new novels appearing.

So far, I've been reading:

Basara - The anime got me hooked. I really want to know the ending.
Crimson Hero - Volleyball is my favorite sport so I can't help reading it.
Hana-Kimi - The characters are just too adorable.
Never Give Up - The title pretty much sums up the story.
Prince of Tennis - Err, favorite anime series, so....yeah.
Skip Beat - I really like the funny moments between the characters.
Tail of the Moon - Ninjas. Nuff said.
Twelve Kingdoms Novels - They give more background to the anime.
VHD Novels - I like everything about this series.

Hopefully, these selections don't go into the thirties before they end as I have a bad habit of picking long-running series. X|

I can't remember if I answered this already! 8O Eh...I've cut down on what I read due to lack of time.

Battle Angel Alita: Last Order
Blade of the Immortal
The Wallflower
Vampire Hunter D Novels

If I have extra extra time:

Saiyuki: Reloaded
Samurai Executioner
"He knows the crimson of rage, and the azure of despair... but his eyes will never change; the purity of white."
