Mangafox rating system

Post by Keropi »

I've seen this rating description on another website besides Mangafox, but I can't recall where.

Does anyone have a guess as to what this means when Mangafox rates a manga?:

Rating Average 4.79 / 5 out of 53 total votes.
5

What does "5 out of 53 total votes" mean?

I think it might mean that 5 is the highest score, and that the 4.79 is the average of the 53 votes?

I hope that makes sense?

I expect that it mean the average score was 4.79 out of 5 (I would guess their scoring system is 1 - 5 with 5 best).

The 53 votes is the number they have received that the average is based on.

Thanks for the responses.

They're description is not very clear, but I suppose that's what it means.
