[Advice] Dents

Seeing as we are all collectors here I thought it would be worth a shot to ask.

Does anyone know a good method to remove dents from manga covers? I bought a new manga book from Amazon but thanks to the cheap bubble mailer that it was put in the back cover has a dent that is about 6 pages deep. I have already tried pressing it with a pile of books for about 4 days now and no difference.

I would just buy another if it wasn't a discontinued series and the one I got was by pure luck its binding matches my set vs having the Tokyopop logo on the side which came in the second prints.

Might try gently rubbing the inside of the cover with a bone folder or similar tool. These are used to reduce paper creases such as dog ears and can encourage the paper fibers to go back to the way they were before they were stressed. The trick is to rub the side opposite the crease, fold, or dent.

I ended up going with returning it, I tried to iron the cover out with a super low heat and it still wouldn't fix so I don't think anything would really help. I've posted on reddit in the mangaswap thread that I'm buying another and various other mangas. Maybe I'll have some luck.
