WANTED: Fancel artist to paint missing layers for cels

Hi there everybody ^_^

As the topic says, I'm looking for a fancel artist who would be willing to paint missing layers for cels. I've been tossing around the idea for a while now, but there's a cel that I just recently won that I absolutely MUST have a layer made for. Any suggestions/recommendations would be greatly appreciated

I have checked this cel on the dvd and in fact gohan has blood on his face. I could simply send a photocopy of the cel and a print screen of the DVD and the artist will make the blood,

let US know...

Try asking Amanda or Haruna.of.jurai. I don't know if they do missing layers or not, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Thanks for the recommendations Katrina! I'll most definently get in contact with those both of them to see if they'd be interested ^_^

I'm starting to wonder more and more though if the layer I'm trying to replace was an actual cel layer or CG. There's suppossed to be an earing on the fine lad depicted on this cel, but it's MIA

My guess is that it's probably a missing layer, but looking closely at the screencap during the anime the earing does kind of give off a "CG'ish" vibe to me. Anyone else have an opinion on this?

Hey, so you got that one! CONGRATS!!

I'd be willing to guess that there was some lighting effect moving across the earring in that scene? That would mean that it would either be CG or on seperate cel layers... either way, I agree that a fancel layer would make it look wonderful.

For all things fancel and backgroundish, I highly recommend Amy of Moonshine Fancels; she's amazing! I also adore Baka Neko Fancels, but I don't think Lia is still doing that... a serious shame, since she was fantastic and also incredibly fun to talk to.

I can't wait to see the final result, whoever you go with!

I can do it too, if you want. I have done it for a couple cels of my own that were missing a layer. You kinda /do/ need to send the cel to whomever is doing it though. Or trace very precisely the exact size of the cel its on and where the replacement layer piece needs to be, or it won't be right. Its difficult enough to do a layer with the cel in your possession.

Hyperenity has done some excellent work for me. She did my Kenshin-Chibi Soujiro cel and Cowboy Bebop-Ed cels. Plus she's just completed 2 more Kenshin fan cels which I will have within the week.
