Got broadband? ;) HxH ID help needed...

Okay, so my site still isn't updated. And I could blame this on eye surgery and being busy at work, but the fact is that I made the mistake of putting all my HxH cels in chronological order, and now that I have an insane number of new cels, I don't know how they all fit in, and that means I'm stumped on where to put them... yadda, yadda.

Why do I bring this up? Because I know that several folks out there have only recently watched HxH, and maybe they might recognize some of the scenes that I didn't.

And why do I ask whether you've got broadband? Because at the moment, the only list I have of all my HxH cels is on one frickin' page, which means like 500 images.

I created it for my own use... didn't expect to need to show it to anyone else.

Anyway, practical upshot is that if you've seen HxH recently, have a good eye for scenes and a diabolically fast Internet connection, and wouldn't mind playing "sort the cels", I would love to hear from you. The ones I've managed to figure out exactly are listed in chronological sections; the ones I can generally narrow down to a story arc are at the end of those sections (without episode numbers next to the file names); the ones I'm utterly stumped on appear at the very end of the page.

Well, okay, there's also a "CHARACTERS" section at the top of the page... please ignore it, since these are just portrait shots and I don't plan to sort them in with the others.

If anyone can put episode numbers on some of the generally-figured-out ones, I would be extremely grateful... if anyone can work out where the completely un-IDed ones appear in the series, even just narrowing it down to story arc, I would be equally thrilled.

(And before anyone brings it up, yes, I can see that I have five or six near-duplicates in the list, heh. Blame either my crappy memory or ever-burning desire to "upgrade"! They will be hitting my sale/trade page at some point in the future, after I figure out which of each pair I want to keep.)

I can identify at least five right off the bat!

....Except for that Kuroro. He is unplacable, you will never find out where he fits, and you should just give him to me to save yourself the headache of never knowing what episode he's from.

Heehee! Well, my ID kung fu is not completely feeble; I know where most of the cels fit in terms of story arc (except those frustrating ones down at the bottom). But short of watching every single episode all over again, the only way I'm going to put episode numbers on the remainder is by wheedling my friends to help.

*ahem* Now that that's out of the way . . .

Woman! I just scrolled through the "characters" section, and I'm amazed that you can remember so many names!!

If that were my collection, I'd be saying, "Someone point me to a fansite with character names and pics, so I know who's on this piece of plastic in front of me."

On a side note (or maybe it's back on topic?) I'm downloading HxH as I type, so if I happen to spot any of your pretties as I watch, I'll be sure to let you know.

Menchi4 is from episode 26 as she's saying "she'll personally crush him" referring to Leorio as they talk about the the final exam.

Hisoka45 is from the scene where it looks like he's been cut in half for a split second... I'm drawing a blank heh.

Hisoka34 is from when they announce the final exam matches in ep 27. Kurapika says "I'll win" and Hisoka just looks at him. He's actually rotating his neck and this just happens to be the shot. I also have this cel now.

hxhgroup168 is from episode 56. As is hxhgroup113 and just about anything from this fight scene.

Gon70 & Gon80 are from ep 51 (arm wrestling)

Gon84 from ep 57 "What's so good about this weird lookin pot anyway?" or something like that he says.

hxhgroup100 is from episode 54 as the Ryodan disguise themselves to get Ubo back.

hxhgroup114 is from ep 60. Kuroro is trying to get his hands on the ghost writer technique.

hxhgroup120, hxhgroup120-1 & hxhgroup131 are yet again from ep 51 (arm wrestling). The first one is just Leorio explaing how it's going to work, the second is everyone who wants in raising their money and the third is Shizuku trying her best to get the diamond. (couldn't she just steal one?)

hxhgroup150 & hxhgroup151 are from when Gon and Killua get captured in ep 59. The first one is right as Hisoka back off after telling Killua that he'll kill him if he makes a move. The second is when Faitan gets pissed at Gon for raising his voice. Both of which involve arm wrestling once again.

hxhgroup152 is from ep 59 is a is actually a reaction of Hisoka saying he isn't interested in the paper he's handing out.

hxhgroup190 in episode 50. It's during the meeting during the whole 12 godfather thing. They are discussing if they should go by code names and Silva and Zeno clearly aren't into that idea.

hisoka51 is in OVA ep 1 as Hisoka reads his prophecy.

This is was I know at the top of my head. I'll try to figure out some of the others within the next few days when I have free time. Glad I could help.

EDIT - Did you need info on the cels in the non "UN-ID'ED" section? I took it upon myself to do a few. I see a bunch that are in the right order, but don't have episode numbers and so on. Just don't want to waste my time if you already have most of it. If so then I can probably complete a good chunk of this list pretty easily.

Examples: The first cel at the top "hisoka26" doesn't have a ep number placed in front of it like a lot of them do like "32 - leorio20".

Well, this should help you out a bit. I think with the help of Hisoka, most of the cels can be ID'd. I only did the first forty three episodes, because I remember most of those from ID'ing my own cels, although there are a few that I missed. Plus, I apparently have a hard time distinguishing Wing cels between episodes. *Shrug* Someday, I'll get around to watching the rest, so that I can ID my own episodeless cels of Killua. (Sorry that I wasn't able to help you out with the remainder of the series right now.)

WOW Hisoka!!

I miss a whole day and the list is almost finished!

However, I'm sure that Evilminion is now plotting to purchase more HxH cels for the masses to ID....... such is the circle of cel collecting.

Thanks so very much for contributing to the pile-o-IDs Hisoka and lonelymountain! This was actually a fun thing to do while I was procrastinating on my summer Master's class.

Hopefully, I'll get to participate again later.
