Would like to pay a fan artist for a repro cel

What would be the cost for a repro from an existing cel ?...
Are they known specialist of fan cels ?

Is this depending on character size or color list, or both ?
Are they technical limits ?

Most fan cel artists charge different rates, depending on (1) how complex the image is, (2) the size of the finished piece, (3) how quickly you want it finished and (4) whether or not they'll have to custom paint a matching background

My fan cel of Watanuki is considered "hanken level" and took more than a year to complete. It also cost me more than I normally spend on production artwork. This fan cel is something like the 10th most expensive cel I own.

Amazing cel, well the one I'm willing to create is less complicated.

For the little story, One of my relatives saw a cel and asked me for a Xerox copy, and I told him that color will vanish. As I remember there are fan cel maker, I think that this will be a good way.

So I'm taking all the advices about such work.

Your Watanuki fancel is very beautiful!

I'm a fanartist, I must say that to paint this fancel tooks me a week no more. (same level)
A year it's seems very very long (in my opinon)

(My fancels tooks me only 1 or 2 weeks.) sized 14" x 17". (with background)

Iceman57: Yes there is a lot of things who depend of the prices for a fancel...

pour faire court et mon englais qui laisse Ã dÃ©sirer, Ã§a dÃ©pend de la complexitÃ© du nombre de personnages, et du fond si il y a et bien-sÃ»r de la taille du cel. moi je fais au max du 14" x 17" (c un poil plus grand que le A3)

So colors are definitively not a problem ?
I thought that colors may occur a cost increase.

It was a long time. But in exchange, I also paid about 1/3 of what it would have normally cost me. I'm very patient. *grin*

Added in my notebook, reduce pressure on fan artist reduce costs.
