I need some help translating the following. The translators I have tried result in some wonky or untranslatable words.

without all of the context it is a little difficult, but I would say, that the product described was used in the production (says this part: の製作に使用された物です) of some sort of announcement material (for a series/ special show) or as material for a still (picture).

Yes, it helps very much. That text was in an auction for a hanken mono cel that was used to create the covers of the laser disc, VCD, DVD, etc. of a short anime special/movie. So, your translation makes a lot of sense.
